PASS is like extra tutoring or extra classes for certain courses. Peer mentoring is to help with your transition into university life. You meet with a mentor every 2 weeks just to make sure you have your shit sorted out. You just get a welcome from the important people from the Faculty...

Pure, Applied and Stats all work well with Finance

Gonna go into Finance

Applied because I find it relevant to what I want to do. Pure isn't appealing, Stats is boring as hell and QR is the worst thing the School of Maths and Stats has ever come up with.

i'm pretty sure it's just to prepare us for stats in 2nd year, not necessarily to fill in time
