I'm looking at the Black Athena debate, which looks at the origins of Greeks within the Egyptians. I was wondering, if anyone else is doing Ancient Greece or Ancient Egypt for their HIP, if they would like to compare resources. Mine is pretty extensive but I want to extend it further...

It's a really complicated and really American centralised topic but if you search for 'Black Athena' you'll find some stuff on it. It's about the African and European view of history, and the insistance of one Martin Bernal that Egyptians were the ancestors of Greeks- the cradle of Western...

I think you're talking about historeography:cool: . For that you have to talk about the bias (especially for ancient sources) that the writer had, the sources used and what was chosen of the sources, etc, to determine the reliability of what they're saying. You have to analyse what is right...

I'm going to tell you what mine is because the chances that you'll copy are somewhat minute... I'm looking at the Black athena debate and how historeographically worthwhile it is, and how it affects Eurocentrism and Afrocentrism. :)

you think that if you're doing HSC German you wouldn't know "sein"? Of course we have to look at verbs... but wouldn't we want to look at the pretaritum and the dependant clauses... etc etc... and shouldn't we know "sein" and other basic verbs already? One would hope so! :eek:

You should research ways of writing... :( ... and the subject matter you're going to be writing about- make sure you get it right! :eek: And whatever you do, don't do an autobiography... apparently they get very very poor marks :mad:
