    Drop Ext 1 English?

Given all your other subjects, it could really help your UAI but if there's no prospect of you doing well enough to benefit, then there's no point putting up with it. I found that it was a real pain in the ass and I was doing crappily anyway. Dropping it changed my life. :D EDIT: "ext eng...

Excel Text for Software Design and Development any Good?

I used the excel book the night before my exam and it absolutely saved me! Granted, I forgot that I had it until like 10 pm so I still did crappily in my test but the book is excellent.

    Making up case studies

Are we allowed to make up case studies? In last year's exam it said on the question "Using a case study, real or imaginary" or something like that. Am I still allowed to make up a case study even if the question does not say anything about it? If I use an existing business, can I make up...

    algorithms

Haha, I'm all about details XD I should be worrying about the massive amount of theory there is to learn instead of stuff like this, eh? Well thanks for that :D

    Algorithms??

I've been told that the only ones you need to be able to replicate are Linear and Binary search. You would, however, need to know how the others work and be able to recognise them when reading the algorithm. Don't quote me on it though.

    algorithms

Would this be acceptable? Set variable to user input and if I do that, would I need to go "variable = user input" or "get user input" as well?

    Time management

Easier said than done. My homework alone usually takes me almost the whole day from the minute I get home. So much so, that the only way for me to complete my assessment tasks is to cut back on doing homework to allow me the necessary time. I'm actually a week behind in maths homework-wise from...

    who Actually likes english?

People should practice what they preach and stop whinging about others who whinge about english. There are worse things in the world that people whinging about english. If there's cause for whinging, whinge away I say. For example, this compulsory anchor they call english dragging down my UAI.

    who Actually likes english?

I hatehatehate english. It is so much work for an airy-fairy subject. There's an illusion of substance but really, it's how well you can bullshit. As long as you sound like you know what you're talking about, you will do well. I suck at it, as you might probably guess. I used to be good at it...

Balance Sheets and a bunch of other stuff

Wow, I don't even think I learned that! lol. So if the total Assets are greater than the capital then would that be considered good return on capital and profitability/good health? Would Total Owners Equity be a more appropriate figure to use than capital?

    Organising Work (merged)

Balance Sheets and a bunch of other stuff

Thanks for the help all, especially with the strategies :D Okay, here's another thing I've got trouble with. "Quoting two pieces of evidence from the balance sheet, describe the health of the business". ..How exactly do I describe the health of the business? o.O

Re: Folders or Books? I'm old fashioned. I like the humble exercise book. I started a folder for my sheets at the beginning of the year. It currently has a total of about 5 sheets in it.

    Prefect positions in 2009

I have zero leadership qualities. I would suck at prefect. At my school, it's the other way around. The prefects do everything while the top 5 ranks (Captain, Vice, etc.) get all the privileges (not that there are many that I'm aware of). The only incentive to become a prefect is for your...
