well yeah metadata is information about the data. an example is a data dictionary. a data dictionary gives comprehensive description of each atribute (field) in a database. therefore giving information on the data. hope this helps :)

yeah it will be better if u go tutoring and also do practice papers coz it give u opportunities to find out where are ur weak points b4 the exam and also to learn all the formulas
