lol. If that happened in an exam I was in, I'd more likely laugh at the tone than get annoyed like everyone else. I guess it'd depend on how deeply concentrated I was. =D

I think it's up to the principal/head teachers what level of subjects are offered. For instance, general maths has always been offered at my (selective) school, but standard English only became available to study last year when our principal changed.

That is a nice dress, but I get the feeling it'd be too casual for a formal, and that one wouldn't be able to pull it off unless they looked like an Olsen twin. Hahah. Maybe it'd be suitable for a formal with a cocktail dress code.

I guess it's to try to make you use the time effectively. There isn't really any point to free periods, they're just unscheduled gaps in the timetable.
