You would hate my Coles store then. Next Sunday I'm working 2.45pm - 6.15pm (3.5hrs)

Oh that. We had that ages ago when our aisles were redone. People were given shifts just to walk around wearing a 'health and beauty' polo shirt talking to customers. There was a cake too according to the photographs we have up in the staff room.

Oh yay BOS is back! I don't think I've ever wanted to work so badly. I got 3hrs this week as I'm not allowed to work until Friday (but have TAFE) and they never roster me on a Sunday so I got 3hrs on Saturday (5pm-8pm). I won a ticket to a Sydney Web Development Conference which is next week...

Is anyone else having trouble with this site? It's taking over a minute to load a page for me and that's only when I don't get 500 - Internal Server Error pages! Anyway I'm so bored that I wish I was allowed to work/rostered on. Had 2 wisdom teeth removed on Thursday and I am so bored and...

We used to have to pack up the cigarettes every night with the supervisor on close leaving at 12.30am. Now we don't have to pack them up - there are in drawers which have locks on them so that when the lock guard goes on, the drawer can not be pulled out any more. Staff now leave at 12.15am. We...

I'm not really that worried about the operation. I've had 4-5 operations on my teeth before, it's just I've heard wisdom teeth are worst. Didn't need any pain medication when I got 7 teeth out last time so will be interesting to see this time. I have 13 days to recover before a Web Development...

I know I won't be working either days as I have a week and a bit off due to getting my wisdom teeth removed. Go into hospital on Thursday and not available again until 1st May because my unavailabilities for TAFE run into my unavailabilities for my operation. Pretty sweet time off work, pity...

It's a security thing. If a customer leans over to rob the till, the $50 are the furthest away.

Ours are left to right $2 - 5c but the notes depend on what register u are on. $5 notes are closest to the customer. So on register 4 at my store its $5 - $50 but on register 5 it would be $50 - $5 (left to right)

Myself and another operator were working 3hr shifts. She was finishing at 1.30pm and I was finishing at 1.45pm so only 15min difference. She got to leave on time, but 8min later we were absolutely smashed. I didn't get off a register until 1.50pm. Just my luck.

I got my new name badge today. They don't look the best, are twice the thickness of our old ones and aren't as professional. Mine already has scratches on it and it hasn't been worn! You can see that the name insert bent when they were trying to put it in also. Oh and as I expected, it says...

I'm not a big breakfast eater normally even if I don't have to work (didn't eat until 9.40am today), so it depends on my shift/breaks as to what/how much I eat before work. If I get a lunch/dinner break I always have Subway though :) Say for a 6am-3pm shift we would get the following breaks...

I still wouldn't eat if I worked 6am - 3pm (we do 9hr shifts at Coles) because I would get a break at 8am but I'm assuming your breaks aren't so regular like mine. I just can't eat that early in the morning - I rarely have breakfast and usually don't eat until after 9am.
