    pretty good I think? All my subjects are spaced very evenly (3-4 days apart) and I'll be done on the 27th.

    Should I take a science (physics or chem) ??

    pick the subjects you think you will enjoy the most!! I don't do physics and am planning on doing comp sci, I don't really think HSC physics is necessary for the course (from what I've seen/heard) and you'll cover a lot of physics related topics in maths extension anyways (especially if you end...

    What ATAR are you aiming for?

    oh yeah I'm defs aiming for as high as possible for my own personal validation, however realistically I only need something in the high 80's (+ I will likely be able to get additional selection ranks added)

    What ATAR are you aiming for?

    Should I drop extension english 1?

    I did english extension for prelim, and ended up dropping it in yr12. I think the subject is a lot of work around exam-time (memorising quotes from like 5 texts), and if it's not something you are passionate about I think it will be a bit of a struggle (it was for me). I was very glad to drop...

    biotechnologies = snoozefest

    was your depth study on biotechnology?

    biotechnologies = snoozefest

    Does anyone else find alllll the biotechnologies stuff so incredibly boring? I understand that it is literally the practical application of the heredity/genetic change concepts but for the life of me I just cannot find any enjoyment in it. I enjoyed the cell replication, and the DNA/polypeptide...

    ATAR and part time jobs

    Currently in year 12, but I had absolutely no issue with working in year 11. I've had my part time job since 2018, and I think it's definitely worthwhile to build work experience whilst in high school. In the lead-up to prelims I was only doing 1 x 7hr shift each week, but for most of year 11 I...

    Vectors Q

    the part that throws me off is the line where |b|^2 comes in, I can understand how they used it to get the solution but I don't understand where it actually came from.

    How should I study for Year 11 chemistry and physics in holidays?

    the math itself isn't difficult, the difficult part is identifying what the question is asking for and then using the correct numbers/formulas

    How should I study for Year 11 chemistry and physics in holidays?

    Chem is actually pretty math heavy, the first module isn't though 😭 I think I might've made that confusing.

    How should I study for Year 11 chemistry and physics in holidays?

    Oh and also, pay attention to the solubility stuff in year 11 (mod 1 I believe), it's very relevant to mod 5 in year 12

    How should I study for Year 11 chemistry and physics in holidays?

    you're already doing better than me bahah I only started memorising them thoroughly a couple months ago 🤣 Mod 1 for chem isn't very math heavy (from what I can recall), but once you get into the other modules grinding practice q's is super important!
