    UWS Law - New opinions?

I think he means if you have passion for law, you will go to any university, regardless of reputation and location. (Well that's what I think).

    UWS Law - New opinions?

I agree with the above mentioned posts. Seriously, it does not matter. I think the only downfall is the reputation (that cannot be helped because it's a new open institution its early beginnings). However, the teaching itself I heard is pretty solid. It may not be as great as USYD and UNSW, but...

    The Tennis Thread

Re: The Official Tennis Thread Yay for Ivanovic, knocking out Bartoli in the quarters and Wozniacki in the fourth round. I'm happy for her, it seems that her form is slowly recovering and she's gaining greater confidence in her game again. Hope she destroys Sharapova and I have a feeling...

What do we 'hate' about Year 11? Come in and vent your frustration!

I miss high school. Life was so much easier back then.

    Powlmao's rant

Sorry to ask and I don't mean to be offensive in any form by saying this - but are you serious when you say you don't have any friends because I hope you're trolling :/ On a side note, I think it's unbelievably important in having a balance, but even if you fail your HSC (it is not be all and...

    I Hate University

I really despise the travel. I live in Cabramatta, so getting there is a bitch. Takes like 90 minutes on the average day. Making friends to me seems harder, because everyone I meet is everywhere. It's hard to catch them and have lunch, so often I have lunch by myself because they're all at...

    Please critique King Lear essay!

Less summarising of the text, more textual analysis. More use of T.E.E.L/P.E.A.L

    Physiotherapy: USYD vs UWS

I don't think it would matter. Personally, I'd take the 20k scholarship and if its much more convenient in terms of travel, I'd definitely go with the UWS. Despite the fact that it is new, much can't be done about that. All faculties have had their opening and conception. UNSW law was opened in...

    Job prospects for Law/Science

Job prospects that I think is good with Sci/Law is the job of a Coroner - requiring both legal and scientific knowledge. Or something in forensics?

    Not an ATAR estimate

+ 1,000,000 Seriously, it's temporary pride and satisfaction. It felt getting a good ATAR, but once uni hits - it's completely a different field, different expectations etc. The ATAR is there really just for course requirements.

    Point of getting 99.8+?

Besides opportunities for scholarships and pride (and a sense of accomplishment), the difference is really tokenistic imo. So long as you get into your course, I don't think it really matters.

    Best Casual Job?

I tutor casually and I must say, it is extremely rewarding when a weaker student who struggles actually understands the content much better by the end of the lesson. The high rate is just a bonus on top. Helps pay for transport and food for uni, instead of having to rely on Youth Allowance.

Which discipline has the best job prospects and pay?

The money is probably in the Commerce field. I heard Doctors get shit pay until you become specialist (which would be farrr away considering it's almost 10 years for the completion of your degree and training).

    Hows everyone finding legal studies?

Loved Legal Studies. Was my favourite and best subject (in terms of results). I miss it so much after the first week of my law classes. So much simpler than law D:

    im sick and tired!

+ 1 In every one else's defence, it's apparent that UWS has yet to be on par with UNSW and USYD. Having said that, I don't think the university itself is extraordinary bad, rather its reputation (that can't be solved really, time is crucial for its development). For me, if I didn't choose law -...

    Your first day at uni

Today was my first day. Very interesting. For my foundations of law class, we were discussing whether we should or should not bow to a judge when you enter a courtroom setting. That shit went off LOL. I heard the learning in law classes are much better than other courses due to its smaller and...
