    Cambridge Prelim MX1 Textbook Marathon/Q&A

Re: Year 11 Mathematics 3 Unit Cambridge Question & Answer Thread My reasoning as to why I subtract 180 from 81'52' is that the tan theta value is a value of negative 7, which lies somewhere in the 2nd quadrant of the ASTC diagram.

Re: Year 11 Mathematics 3 Unit Cambridge Question & Answer Thread One of the angles I believe to be right (the 71 34') and the other I believe to be wrong. Would love it , if somebody could confirm. Seeing that the two points of intersection are at x=2, -3 I then substituted this back...

    Locus and Roots/Coefficient Problem

    Here is my solution to Q1. 3x+4y=36 \ \textcircled{1} 4x+3y=24 \ \textcircled{2} d=\frac{|ax_1+by_1+c|}{\sqrt{a^2+b^2}} $ By treating absolute values positive both sides $ \frac{3x+4y-36}{5}=\frac{4x+3y-24}{5} \therefore 0=x-y+12 $ By treating \textcircled{1} as positive and...

    HSC 2016 General Maths Marathon

OK this was my thoughts. If the first term in this sequence is 10. Knowing also that the difference is 30. We also know that there are 200 terms. Another way Id do is to subtract the 6000 from 10 and divide by the difference of 30, which in this case gives close to the 200 mark sample.
