    Cvltural Maxism: Political Correctness/Feminism

    Re: Cultural Marxism: Political Correctness/Feminism It's mostly coming from some people in arts, you are generally good if you do maths (as in you won't have to deal with these loonies). Also my guess is you are interested in pure maths, so USYD is definitely a good choice for it (ANU is...

    Cvltural Maxism: Political Correctness/Feminism

    Re: Cultural Marxism: Political Correctness/Feminism Ok for anyone who thinks it isn't getting out of hand, some "rules" now in place at USYD due to the student union or whoever dictates it: 1) The society that was made to help men with mental disorders has been BANNED. However, the similar...

    Any schools teach perms and combs in year 11

    I would say that factorising can become quite hard especially when you start looking at Galois Theory. Don't even need to, just take x=-3 as one point, and solve the inequality as an equality.

    Conditions on L'Hopital's rule

    Maybe try see if something like this leads anywhere? (1-x)^{\frac{1}{\ln(1-x)}+{\frac{1}{\ln(1+x)}}} (1-x)^{\frac{ln(e)}{\ln(1-x)}+{\frac{ln(e)}{\ln(1+x)}}} (1-x)^{log_{1-x}(e)+log_{1+x}(e)} e \times (1-x)^{log_{1+x}(e)}

    USYD Chatter Thread 2016

    Re: USYD Chatter Thread - Semester 1 2016 Just because you pay for something doesn't mean you have to be disrespectful. I wouldn't go into a restaurant and tell the waiters to fuck off just because I bought the food.

    Using determinants

    Definitely check with BOSTES because from all accounts I've heard it's a no. But I did do my HSC 3 years ago so maybe it's changed, who knows.

    Best uni for maths

    What maths courses are you doing? If you have any questions post in the extra-curricular section. Some one will be able to answer it.

    Best uni for maths

    Bit hard to judge when you've been in uni for one month. There's a reason why USYD's top maths students all go to Cambridge/Princeton etc and/or land some of the highest paying jobs in the world.

    HSC 2016 MX2 Combinatorics Marathon (archive)

    Re: HSC 2016 MX2 Combinatorics Marathon I'll do it for the weighted probability since you can just sub in p=1/2. Let the expected number of tosses before gaining 'n' tails be E(n). Then we can make the following recurrence relation: E(n)=(1-p)(1+E(n-1))+p(1+E(n-1)+E(n)) Basically we have...
