I don't understand.... Surely if someone passed a course, but wasn't happy with their result, they would be allowed to take the course again to obtain a higher mark to have on their academic record? I know 1131 doesn't get exemptions from 1151, but 1151 gets exemptions from 1131. Just seems a...

Hmmm.... I passed MATH1151 in semester 1, 2005, but only just. I am ditching my current degree and starting a new one in 2006, which includes a maths major, but I want to do 1131 even though I've got exemptions from it from 1151. Am I allowed to do that?

It's funny how you only ever hear about the people who are against it. If I take the people I've talked to about VSU as a sample space, it would appear that the majority of people get nothing from the union (or nowhere near the union fees worth) and are completely for VSU.

Because the people you refer to are the ones subsidising it in the first place.

I disagree. A top 20 school, good assessment marks, and decent ranks for all subjects, I'd say 95+ for sure.

Unless you withdraw before the 15th of September in Session 2, in which not enough UOC are completed for UAC to consider Uni marks to be of any relevance when applying for a transfer, so only UAI is used.

I looked at the papers from the last few years, and personally I think they were all similar difficulty, if not ours harder.

Yeah, it was for ACTL1001- Actuarial Studies and Commerce. The lecturer who set the quiz has a reputation for making the quizzes extremely hard, so a median mark of about 39 is normal.

Here here! We just got our first Actuarial Studies quiz marks back. Out of the 165 people that sat the test the median was 39%, and these are all people that did well in 4 unit maths in yr 12, got UAIs of 95+ etc. etc.
