Does SC mean anything?! Compare your SC and HSC here.

    So here goes. Please don't judge me. SC: English - 92/100 Maths - 98/100 History - 100/100 Geography - 89/100 Science - 87/100 Computing - 94/100 HSC: Italian Continuers - 90/100 Music 1 - 87/100 (did 2 elective performances and 1 elective composition) Studies of Religion - 43/50 English...

Why tears are wasted on HSC results

A lot of people on this forum are taking their HSC marks incredibly seriously, which is understandable given as we've just received them, however, it's value will turn out to be unimportant as time goes by. The HSC is by no means a test of how smart a person is - people can be smart but not very...

Legally, am I allowed to release my HSC music 1 composition for digital distribution?

Or is it property of the Board of Studies? Everyone I know has said to me that they'd buy it if it was on iTunes and the recording is CD quality.

    Please don't judge me: Italian Continuers - 90/100 (band 6) Music 1 - 87/100 (band 5) Studies of Religion 1 - 43/50 (band 5) English Advanced - 84/100 (band 5) Italian Extension - 40/50 (band E3) Biology - 79/100 (band 4) (pissed because I did extra classes, worked hard, did past papers, did...

    homosexuals

Of course, if they want to. It doesn't, and shouldn't, affect anyone else but the couple getting married.

Does meeting the ATAR requirement for a course guarantee me a place?

I needed 84.6 for Science/Arts and got 85.5, plus the possibility of bonus points (flexible entry). Does this mean I'm automatically in? Science/Arts at Sydney is my first preference.

Who is going to usyd in 2012?

Me! I needed 84.6 to get into Science/Arts and got 85.5.

Anyone here wanting to do a bachelor of science/bachelor of arts at USYD?

I am. I was going to do Forensic Biology @ UTS but since I got really good Italian marks I thought it would be a shame to give it up, so majoring in Italian studies for the Arts aspect and then Biochemistry for the Science aspect.

    Share your 2011 ATAR here

85.5 - not fantastic but got into Arts/Science at Sydney like I wanted. Really disappointed with Bio - worked hard all year, did extra classes and got rewarded with a friggin 79 as my final mark. Went from 38% in the trials to 76% in the HSC for maths and got a band 6 in Italian Continuers so at...

Is anyone else concerned about their ATAR after their performance in the HSC exams?

Re: Is anyone else concerned about their ATAR after their performance in the HSC exam I have 2 units of backup as well but I kind of screwed that up too - forgot the lyrics in one of my music performances, screwed up Bio pretty badly (was aiming for band 6 but will be lucky to get mid band...

    Taking Legal Action against school

What year are you in? If you're in year 10/11, I say do it. We have 5 doing music 1, 1 doing music 2 and 3 doing physics (initially 2 did music 2 and 8 did physics but people dropped/moved to music 1). Although if you're already doing the HSC now, bit pointless.

Is anyone else concerned about their ATAR after their performance in the HSC exams?

Re: Is anyone else concerned about their ATAR after their performance in the HSC exam I wanted like mid-90s but at this stage I'll be happy with 85+.

Can I do HSC again through TAFE?

Some people are mature for their age, I'm not one of those people.

Can I do HSC again through TAFE?

Really wasn't motivated much this year and it affected my ranks. I'm also quite young (17) and possibly immature. If my HSC results aren't good (i.e. if I get below 85), I want to do the HSC in 2012 through TAFE or at Bradfield College, how do I do that?

    General Thoughts: Biology

I can't even remember anything I wrote - something about how the knowledge of biological processes has led to the development of medical phenomena (antibiotics and vaccinations) and implications on society are antibiotic resistance and the gradual increase in prevalence of viral diseases due to...

    Italian Extension

Was anyone else really pissed off by the question? How are you supposed to write about the concentration camp and tell the story of the reward from the perspective of a 5-year-old? The only thing he really cared about was the tank. Terrible question and I hope it gets aligned well because a...
