They happen to be corrupt because of a lack of education amongst their people. Society tends to have a higher living standard in places where there isn't such a shortage of education. Education plays a key role in determining the future of a community.
Just because a lot of muslim countries sadly happen to be corrupt, it doesn't automatically mean that there is something in the doctrine of Islam that has caused it to be that way.
You didn't even read the thread. If you did, you would have realised that we aren't saying that Australia should change it's laws to suit Muslim women. We are merely attempting to explain why a woman would cover. How is that against Australia's core values? No one, and I repeat, no one said...
So a woman, even when she wants to cover up, should reveal her body, so as not to cover her "distinguishing features?" That sounds like forcing her to uncover, which sounds way more dehumanising.
Like I said before, males and females are completely different. They are equal, but different in the sense that, in some cases, like this one for example, there are different regulations placed on the two, in order to maintain a balance. That's why women cover to a larger extent than males in...
In Islam, a woman should cover herself up, but no one should force it upon her. In Islamic countries, the clothing that women wear is regulated because of the effects that other individuals have on the actions of oneself. By seeing women dressing revealingly, a woman may be more tempted to dress...
Islam promotes the equality of sexes in terms of punishment, reward, treatment etc. But males and females have different roles to play, as they are both different from one another. That does not mean a man is superior to a woman.
But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, disgraces his head. But every woman praying or prophesying with her head uncovered disgraces her head, for...
Dehumanising even when it's the woman's choice to cover herself up? If a woman has the right to reveal as much of her body as she likes, which many people are in support of, shouldn't she also have the right to cover herself up, if she chooses? I fail to understand how a woman is dehumanised by...
Negligible??? So the people who he killed aren't important because more people have been killed by muslims? What about the families and friends of the people Rudolph killed?? They certainly wouldn't find his actions negligible.
von Brunn and Buford Furrow were white supremacists, so were technically acting in accordance to their belief that they are "superior." McVeigh and Nichols acted the way they did because they hated the government. There is another I could name, Eric Robert Rudolph. He was an adherent of...
There are extremists in every religion and ideology, you know, those that take things too far. You're only speaking of the extremists in Islam. The majority of muslims are not extremists, and hence do not follow what you believe they follow. Do you realise that abiding by the laws of the land a...
