Just curious and a tad confused...
I'll use for an example this years Ancient History exam.
I got 90 for my end of year mark.
I'll predict about 80-85 for the HSC exam.
It seems as though a lot of people have found it really hard, thus one would presume that the 80-85 is relatively...
Re: How many past papers have yous done ?
Past papers don't help me much.
I do lots of essay plans based off of previous questions in some of my subjects though, but doing entire past papers can be a waste of time I find unless you have trouble with timing or something to do with exam...
My teacher was very good for history also, I don't even like it that much, but due to him I did Extension as well.
Looking back on it, when he taught he always referred back to exams and how the content could be needed for it.
Kudos Mr Coller.
People assume that if they don't get a great atar their life won't be good.
There is more than one way to skin a cat...
I have a friend who left school in year 10, he has done an apprenticeship, done some tafe thing, and is now studying engineering. He is 23.
I have another friend got a 70...
I do :) Her name is Polly and I love her. My sexual banter is purely for fun.
Funnily enough, my school got evacuated just after my exam yesterday and I could access my school today so BoS made us go. However, of the 8 ancient students only 5 attended... One also left after an hour due to...
I enjoy sex.
Does anybody feel like some?
Seriously though, I live in the Blue Mountains and I had no idea how competitive and up tight so many HSC students are... People shouldn't take life so seriously.
As an existential nihilist I consider it silly to stress over achieving a high number in which I wouldn't let define me anyway. Life is inherently meaningless and the only purpose that it may have is subjective purpose... I want to experience happiness and pleasure, as opposed to a number.
It...
One would think that they have more than the sciences, however my girlfriend begs to differ purely because Chemistry and Physics are more difficult thus it is more important to memorise things, where is with history I have found that you can remember most of it if you are interested...
My study...
I was a bit of an artist in year 10 :(
I did 5.3 maths but didn't find it fun, so I did drama instead...
Dropped drama last year, probably would have got >75% in mathematics which still wouldn't be great, but better than have a wasted line on the timetable.
As long as your subjects scale well...
I still have business studies, SOR2 and History Extension to go. If those three subjects were a limited ATAR for me, 90-95 would be doable. Legal was pretty good, today was pretty good, English went okay...
What will be the band 5 cutoff for English, anyone?
I thought that they were better than family law, overall, not terrible. A lot of people seem as though they had trouble on it in my area... Hopefully lol.
Of course... I have 11 units and will get a band 4 for English Advanced but overall probably get an atar between 85-90. Just do really well in other things and you'll be fine.
In saying that, I hate how the purpose of school is to get an ATAR that is high as opposed to education itself... An...
