So I was just wondering if there's a mark that people doing advanced english should be getting over to do extension 1 and 2 english?
Like would I have to get at least above an A range or a Band 6 in Advanced English to do EE1? And then the same idea with EE1 to do EE2?
Thanks

I think it depends on which subject interests you more because physics and biology are both quite different. I'd imagine chemistry to be the 'in-between' subject but I think either of those sciences would complement chemistry. I do chemistry and biology and the pair didn't really have that much...
When you separate the final mixture with a separating funnel, it does so based on density differences I think. You use excess acid as it will one of the heaviest layers (due to it's higher density as you've stated) and can be easily removed as it has quite a different density to the ester...

I think it doesn't go into enough detail half the time but I think I'm slightly biased. Provided that you understand the content it can definitely help in making your own notes but I don't recommend using it solely for studying.
I don't think it really matters where it goes but at school we've always put the standard in the conical. It's because you already know the concentration of the standard and if you put it in the conical then you'll know the volume depending on what size pipette you use. Then you can titrate and...
