Also, I wanted to add that I really really think I actually can get about 98 in Italian and French in the final exams, based on marking by experienced HSC markers and other feedback I've been given.

My school isn't high ranking: in the last few years it has fluctuated between 160 and 250. Generally people are saying our year should be a good cohort, but who knows.

Thanks, I think my rank is pretty low now after trials and I'm 99% confident it won't count for me but I have certain teachers who don't want me to and my mum doesn't either... :vcross: so I'll probably just keep it, do minimal study, and it won't count anyway.

They'll probably start with something easy like:

I do Italian Continuers + ext and French Beginners.
Definitely keep it, but work hard at it! Languages can get you great marks and it can make things less stressful at exam time as there's little revision and cramming to do - you just have to work consistently over the course of the year...
