I understand that IE is about the amount of energy needed to remove electrons and that electronegativity is the desire for an atom to gain electrons, but why do we need two things to describe essentially the same thing?
Is it still relevant to understand PT trends for yr12 chem or is it kinda...

For q (ii), How would you explain that leading coefficient A being smaller lead to it having one solution?\
Also, I calculated and desmosd that there is indeed one sp being one of two solutions when A=(3sqrt3)/3, but if A<-(3sqrt3)/3, then there is...
Class has gone over texts and read through all of them - but hasn't learnt context or much work on writing comparatives yet - Best way to prepare for next term's English during the holidays? I might as well get started with context and quote, anything else I might need to do?
Anyone been to/currently attending/heard of a tutoring place in Epping called 'Gifted Cluster for Advanced Maths' run by Stella? How did/do you find it?
i and ii are fine, but iii clearly is not.
I calculated the midpoint of QR to be (5/4, 1). I compared that with the point (t, t^2) in being in the same linear equation and tried to find a formula, but tragically didnt work :,(
Any ideas? Thanks :)
Q5b of the above hsc paper:
- The graphs of y=f(x) [ for x>=0] and y=invf(x) [which I calculated to be ]meet at exactly one point P. Let α be the x-coordinate of P. Explain why α is a root of the equation
x^3 +x -1 = 0.
I let both function formulae equal each other and squared them and...
I made notes on solubility rules and memorised all but the 'mostly soluble' compounds. Any tips on the best way to memorise these? Mnemonics are good, but are there ones which cover all the ones here?
[i.e. I learnt also that HydroxideCarbonatePhosphates are mostly Insoluble - a rule not...
with sketching the curve [how tf are you supposed to do latex bruh], why are there suddenly values of y>4 and y<=0 but no values 0<y<4? How to explain when writing range for function? Thanks in advance :)
a) Sketch a graph of the circle (x-3)^2 + y^2 = 1. [straightforward]
b) The region inside the circle is rotated about the y-axis. Show that the volume of the solid formed is given by (x-3)^2 + y^2 = 1 and evaluate the integral.
[I'm not sure what it means by ' Show that the volume of the solid...
Explain the relationship between the structure and behaviour of chromosomes during meiosis and the inheritance of genes - How would you write a 4-mark response to this question? I don't fully understand specifically what it means by the structures and behaviours of chromosomes... (This question...

Q) Solve the allocated depressed cubic using the method of Cardano
Could someone please explain in simple terms how to solve using Cardano's Method (I researched online but this could be more helpful)
