I found that prelims and hsc trials were hard and tbh, I never did well (marks ranging from 60- low 80's) and perhaps are not a great indication of your hsc marks/atar
I think band 4 is rather too easy for standard eng. I had a friend who sucked shit in english in general (LOL) but managed to pull a band 4 so..? anything is possible if u put ur mind to it
Honestly, just learning from your mistakes. Every essay I wrote, I went back and fixed it and made sure to GET FEEDBACK. Just making sure I remember NOT to do the same mistake again in the hsc is what got me thru..
Plus hsc markers are so generous. Like I got 63% for bio (band3)... which...
LOL i did so bad for trials,,, my lowest mark was bio 63% and my highest was for standard eng 86%. Still got over 90 for my atar but that is because you improve SO MUCH after trials + hsc markers are literally lifesavers
Yep^^ My friend was very smart and wanted to do med - and she definitely had the marks + ucat score for it! However.. after she did work experience at a surgery clinic, she was super traumatised going into surgery LMAO so shes doing veterinary science now to become a vet instead
right! I can totally see your point. Thanks for the heads up. Again, I can see that the first only required a bachelors degree, compared to bachelor+phD/masters. I mean, it can be more favourable but I think it is sufficient for a bachelors degree to do such jobs
