So let's say I never considered an accounting cadetship, but now I realise the cadetship program is basically invaluable.....I'm pretty interested BUT I really can't see myself being an accountant...
I swear I'm not one of those people who aren't remotely interested and are just doing it for the...
Anyone know generally how long they take to get back to you?
Applications closed on Friday 7th, so are we talking a few weeks?
I assume they received a LOT of applications...but they're less than a page in writing.......
Ahhh okay thanks, see I'm eager to start working but I probably should enjoy the break while I can.....which company is this? I'm just worried they would take who is available earlier over me.....and also then I might need to get a part time job to hold me over until january, which is a lot of...
Anyone know what to put for the "date of availability" if I'm in Year 12 and applying for a cadetship? Like should I just put January/February/March 2014 since that's when most cadetships start I assume?
Or should I write my last day of HSC exams.....late october 2013....?
And if the interviewer is pretty high up, I wouldn't know anyway right? :L
Would there be any difference in how to approach an interview with a senior member vs a more junior member?
And I guess this first interview is just with the cadetship company not actually UBS, so they probably wouldn't...
Wow okay both of those answers cleared things up/put my nerves at rest haha, I researched for the application and I guess I'll just extend that to prepare for the interview.
So like I should decide on a certain area of UBS' business or like a certain occupation?
But I get the idea, thanks :)
Ah okay thanks, but like it seems like they expect you to know? Like I can't walk into the interview and be like "yeh like not too sure but like i like all of it like i like business and shiz, give me cadetship?"
When you say some cadets work cruisy hours, is that like between programs? like co-ops and accounting cadets
Or like they choose to work those hours, just because they're not as motivated?
Tbh, I really want a cadetship so I can experience the industry, like the business side of things always...
Bit of hard work never hurt anyone? Then again "bit of hard work" I assume would be an understatement. But if you're only locked into a contract 1 year at a time, worst comes to worst and you drop out after the 1st year? And all you've lost is maybe the opportunity to do 4 extra subjects that...
Any tips for an interview for the UBS Cadetship? It's not with the actual company, but just with the Cadetship place first.
Is it mostly personal questions or would you say more actually about the financial industry and the economy????
Anyone know which SHL practice tests I should take, before I take the online competency test for the UBS cadetship?
e.g. verbal reason and/or numerical reasoning and/or inductive reasoning and/or deductive reasoning and/or situational judgement test and/or quick cognitive test and/or motivation...
Yeh it probably shouldn't matter, but I guess I might do it on Tuesday then, just to be safe. Thanks.
It does seem very competitive, so I don't want to detract too much time from my study for this one application, but any opinions on whether/how many practice tests I should consider doing?
Ah okay sweet thanks, and if it's due by Friday, would they by any chance look at the date/time submitted? Like I planned to do it Thursday night just because it's the easiest time for me, but then that might not look too great since I did it the night before??
And anyone know roughly how many...
Yeh I did get the email for the next stage actually, but I was wondering whether I was the start of the emails or the end of the emails (if you get me) because my friend had hers sent in at the same time and she hasn't gotten a reply. But I just assumed she would considering she has higher marks...
What is it like to take the online competency test?
How many tests are there? (on the site there's about 10 but I doubt they would require applicants to complete all of them)
EG there would be the numerical one I'm guessing, but the personality questionnaire?
Anyone applied and heard back about the UBS Cadetship?
And anyone know the amount/percentage of people they generally take out in between applications and the online competency test?
