Hey guys, I have a question regarding subject scaling within the class. Today in one of my classes we were talking about "raw" and "scaled" marks however and apparently your actual marks in each class are "scaled"/"moderated" against everyone else in the class? I thought all that mattered with...
Fair enough, I don't think I'd qualify for the UTS Accounting Co-Op, is the UOW Accounting and Financial Services degree specialized enough? Is Financial Services just the same as Finance? It only takes 40 people each year while the UTS takes 30, so its quite competitive? I can't find a whole...
Thanks for your recommendations guys, I'm not sure about committing to something like the UTS degree because I've never really had any experience with Accounting before. I had a look at the Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Services offered at University of Wollongong at the Sydney campus...
Fair enough. Well I didn't do Accounting Studies so I wouldn't want to commit myself to something like that without having any idea of what its like of course. I think a Commerce degree would probably be best then until I get more of an idea. Good point about Finance being different at Uni, I...
I had the same problem with my PIP, a personal reflection is when you "Reflect upon, explore and evaluate your own experiences. This can be an important qualitative method that asks you to evaluate your own memories, values, experiences, understandings and opinions on an issue".
So for your...
Hi, I'm a year 12 student (2014) and have been thinking about doing something at university in the Business area once I finish. I'm not sure if its right for me but Business Studies is by far my favourite subject and I'm just going off that. I'm just a bit unsure on the level of maths required...
Fair enough, I think its fairly safe to say that the cohorts of my school will never be all that competitive though, I went through all the rankings and never saw us over 300 or so. Just make more of an effort to get 1st I guess, thanks.
As far as I know you need 80% or above in attendance to pass the subject? If its a partial absence in the sense of you're missing a day then it would only count for the subjects you missed. If you're half way through and you're late, if the teacher has marked the role then you probably wouldn't...
Hi, I'm a year 12 student graduating 2014 and I had 2 questions regarding the way the HSC scales.
1. Going off the 2013 rankings my school was in the late 400s in the state rank, I know that if you get 1st in a course which is what I did for nearly all my subjects last year you're not...
I had the same thing with 2 of my subjects, went and saw my school principal and everything got sorted out. What happens is that they apparently have different "course codes" for each year and its easy for them to get mixed up. Just make sure you get everything in by March/April, I'm pretty sure...
Happy to take other people's surveys/questionnaires, got mine up at http://community.boredofstudies.org/489/school-assessment-surveys-research/319205/s-c-pip-survey-online-privacy.html#post6540765 and could do with some more responses!
