    More rationalisation help

    So like: (1 + \sqrt{2})^{2} - \frac{1}{(1 + \sqrt{2})^{2}} \times \frac{(1 - \sqrt{2})^{2}}{(1 - \sqrt{2})^{2}} Then what?

    More rationalisation help

    Alright, I'm set with the following. z^{2} - \frac{1}{z^{2}} \text{ where } z = 1 + \sqrt{2} I substitute it in and get to here: = (\left{1 + \sqrt{2}}\right)^{2} - \frac{1}{(\left{1 + \sqrt{2}}\right) ^ {2}} I'm not sure where to go from there, so if someone could help me out that would be...

    Thanks heaps Drongoski and everyone else. :)

    How to rationalise this denominator?

    qrpw, will it just be: \sqrt{3}-2+\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}-2} \times \frac{\sqrt{3}+2}{\sqrt{3}+2} Is that right?

    How to rationalise this denominator?

    I'm just wondering how to rationalise the following equation (I tried making the denominator the same and multiplying the numerator by whatever I did to the bottom, but I still got the wrong answer): \sqrt{3}-2+\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}-2}

    Nature of Business Assessment

    Thanks Timske, that helped quite a bit. I moved onto place as an internal factor and I've so far discussed the relevance of the place in relation to the industry of the business and how that helps a business succeed. I need some more points on that, so any help appreciated.

    Nature of Business Assessment

    Currently completing my assessment, and wondering how I can expand on the internal factor of "product". I've so far discussed how a product needs to be relevant to the business niche for it to be successful (to increase demand, sales and profit) and I've defined what a product is and how it's...

    External factors

    Competitors are an external factor for businesses. For example, McDonalds and KFC are competitors, if KFC releases a new product it could effect McDonalds in a negative or positive aspect.

    Mathematics extension vs. Mathematics

    If you're finding 2U Maths easy, then doing Ext will probably be good.

    Rationalising the denominator

    I was wondering how to type LaTeX, thanks pokka. I also got the answer myself, thanks :) TESTING: (\left{a}+{b}\right)(\left{a}-{b}\right)=a^{2}-b^{2}

    Rationalising the denominator

    Alright, so I have the following question. 1/root5+root2 + 3/3root2-root5 I then get 1(3root2-root5)/(root5+root2) + 3(root5+root2)/(3root2-root5)(root5+root2) Then 3root2-root5+3root5+3root2/(root5+root2)(3root2-root5) Then 3root2-root5+3root5+3root2/3root10-5+6-root10 And I finally got...

    How to get better?

    Yeah, that's a good point. My standard English teacher is a pain, did like 20 extended answer questions (paragraphs) tonight and then she expects us to highlight a 10 page recount and annotate it too.

    How to get better?

    I've got a pretty good concept on what we've learnt so far in Economics. The teacher is really helpful! 2U Maths is another story! (Mixed Factors :blink2:)

    How to get better?

    I haven't studied at all this year, but completed all homework to date. In junior years, I never studied once and never really did homework but still got a reasonable mark. Take note, I sit with a distracting person, who should be leaving soon. My teacher said that I should be able to...

    How to get better?

    Hello fellow BOS'ers, As you can see I am doing Economics at the moment, and was just looking for a few pointers.. Firstly, I'm having trouble understanding everything. Production Possibility Frontier and Production Possibility Curve(s) were two things I had a little trouble with (I had...
