I believe that in bio you do have to understand it not just rote learn it. If you understand the information you will be able to remember it better, and even if you didnt remember a detail by understanding the content you may be able to work out a specific detailg in the exam. I think rote...
I thought the board of studies did not recieve ranks, I am pretty sure the school nominates a mark for you not an official rank. they obviously would know the ranks from looking at the marks but I am fairly sure it is your marks they send not to bos not ranks
Just put the weighting in as a whole number, eg 20% would be 20.0, and then the mark as a decimal, so 18/20 would be 18/20 x 100 = 90, but put it in as 0.9
Won't the weighting change things because 20/20 in an assessment worth 30% is going to affect your mark more than 20/20 in an assessment worth 15%?
http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=300273 try using this to play around and see if the weighting means you will have different...
Me too, nooo idea if I even answered the question, what kind of things did you talk about? I was really unprepared because I'm not too stressed about how I go in SOR so I wasn't sure if you were supposed to talk about the question in relation so significant person, practice, beliefs or what
I said stolen generations too. I was surprised to see the sacred texts thing too but I think I did an ok job of it luckily, this exam isn't really my priority as I highly doubt it will end up counting and i have zero interest in the subject
That's my problem but I have no way to get one before the exam, and I don't want to miss the exam because my rank is shit and my results so far are bad, but I feel like I did well in paper today and have improved since earlier results.
Ok, thanks for the suggestions, will a medical certificate still count if I get it after the exam though? My concern is they will be like no you cant prove the injury occurred before the exam so it doesn't count
Hi everyone, I hurt my back straight after paper 1 today picking up something heavy, and at first assumed it was just a brief muscle spasm due to tension in my back from exam. Unfortunately it has not gotten better and now it is too late to go to doctor or to contact school. I may wake up fine...
Yeaaaaaa not quite, I wish. Any estimates/guidance if my goals are realistic though?
The course I wan't does have a specific atar cutoff, acceptance is on atar as well as other criteria, but I still want to get as high as possible obviously to have the best chances. I would be very...
You're welcome! Also forgot to mention lots of student ambassadors and people who you can ask questions about anything really, good for getting the feel of the place
If you are interested in USYD in particular it is in late August so not too far off. I don't know specifics, you can check their website for more detailed information, but there are general stalls for different opportunities within the uni, tours of the campus and also colleges, lots of...
Hey, could I please have an estimate leading up to trials? I have moved up from being 102/105 in English, (still pretty shocking but I am trying really hard and even though I'm still not high just moving up a bit is still a big achievement for me), as well as some minor changes in other...
I didn't take my test at hornsby but in regards to following other L platers, a) this is really obvious and distracting to the learner so its a bit unfair, and b) the instructor can and will pull over and make you stop, this happened during my test at chatswood, so be aware that this could...
Re: A direct and harsh honest question to MQ/UTS students. DO you ever feel embarrass
Try passing even just one first year semester 1 course before worrying about uni reputation, honestly it is the absolute least of your worries... I know for me I would rather employ someone with even just a...
I am not certain but heres my best go:
1. Yes, the atar is calculated from your year 7 cohort and includes people who chose not to recieve an atar
2. Yes, I would think so. I am not sure if that 17% also includes people who completed the hsc but chose not to recieve an atar, but if it only...
Try to make yourself sound well rounded academically and extra-curricularly (don't think thats a word but oh well), and like you would be a member of the college that would be an active participant and give back to the college community. They almost all have more applicants than places, so why...
