Well there were a lot of holes in the storyline but i'd hoped they would explain more of it near the end which never happened. i thought it was cool how she did that caesarian thing :3
Whaaaat? it was nowhere near as gruesome as the aliens series! watched it in 3D too~ i also thought it was quite good but some parts weren't very clear and it was very sequely but wasn't bad or anything!
I think it wouldn't be a complete waste as the topic will still be transformations right? so you'll still be a bit more ahead of the class as you already understand the concept from reading emma. i'm doing emma now and personally i find it quite interesting and not "stale"
Ok well i've done it for a few days and i'll write a short rundown of what happens. Basically you hand in a form before the holidays and they call you soon after to confirm details and when you have to turn up for 'induction' - which is just this 30min thing where you meet other people also...
It's weird but I chose ext. eng because I naturally enjoy/am good at english and I do find it quite interesting. I chose ext. maths because I was OK at maths but I just mainly wanted scaling. In the end (for this semester anyways) I got the same mark for my extension subjects. I guess good marks...
If you enjoy english then ext. english will be very interesting. In terms of difficulty, it is a bit harder but only a tiny bit and you have to talk about the deeper stuff about texts and yeah. People do ext. subjects because they are good at them or enjoy them........or they want high scaling...
Some do really well and some don't do that well. you can get a whole range of jobs with a psychology degree but maybe some won't be very psychology related eg- a friend of mine did it and now she works as an interviewer for some company :|
sorry! its really hard to sort this stuff because it isn't even filed according to subjects on my computer :( i only looked at no. of files lol and i did wonder if anyone would actually want to do them...but i uploaded anyways
That's not true! I know people who've gotten into the Sydney Highs without having had good report marks previously. They did have special music/art/sporting skills though...

Trying doesn't always mean you'll get in but it does give you a chance! Well I do know some people who got into selective schools in year 11 and they didn't do brilliantly in academia or extra stuff but they still got in. If you did them previously I'm sure it'll still count
