    2018ers Chit-Chat Thread

Not sure why that is D: Like I do really enjoy economies inside and outside of the syllabus, but I’m just not sure how I’ll go with 12 units. Additionally, my university prospects of science and engineering point towards physics, maths and chemistry more so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Should I drop to 10 units?

Hey, most people in term 1 of HSC like myself battle with the 10 or 12 unit struggle, so don't feel alone. To answer your specific questions - 1. Of course it is possible to change your attitude if you want to. By the sounds of the post, it appears as though you have little interest in the...

Should I take 4U Maths for Year 12?

I've been told the 2U assumed 100% from a lot of my teachers and students doing 4 unit. They don't actually put on the certificate - 100% for 2U but they calculate the atar as if the student achieved that mark - apparently? This could be totally wrong and if so I'm sorry D:

Should I take 4U Maths for Year 12?

When you do 4u maths you're atar is calculated with an "Assumed 100%" for 2u, which is part of the reason why it scales so well However ext 1 and ext 2 maths count as 2 units each, totalling 4 units when you do both Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As the year progresses the hours will build up as the intensity increases. 2-3 seems like a good starting point Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When do we get year 11 reports?

I've seen this as a common protocol of schools, so I'm guessing that most do give them out around week 2-3 in Term 4

    Past Paper efficiency

So I've been doing a bunch of past papers in preparation for my prelim yearlies but I'm always getting a range of low marks I understand that this is a good thing as I am able to crack down on my weaknesses in my learning and understanding. But constantly getting 40-70% and never really being...

For the economics whizzes out there!

Well we are told that we have had 26 years of consecutive growth without any recession, which is great. BUT if you look at GDP per capita over the 26 years, the story is very different Especially considering that wages are falling whilst debt is rising doesn't come together for a very good mix...
