    Serious advice needed :)

From what I've heard, Media and Communications at USYD is terrible. A very theoretically based study program with little practical relevance in the industry. Apparently UTS is really good for that type of course, can't say anything about UNSW though. But still, I would definitely take the UNSW...

    Electives

Yeah you won't be able to pick any electives. The units you have to do are all listed here: http://sydney.edu.au/handbooks/pharmacy/undergraduate/b_pharmacy_tables.shtml Like I said, the only chance you'll get to elect anything of sorts is in fourth year, when you can choose to do the normal...

    Electives

The Bachelor of Pharmacy doesn't have any electives. The only time you will have a choice in your subjects is in your final year when you choose majors, and even then, your choices aren't that numerous.

    Internal transfer Applying for credit

The marks for the units you apply for credit for will be part of your academic transcript. And if you've failed a unit, unless that unit is compulsory for your degree (ie first year maths), or a prerequisite for your intended major, you won't have to do that unit again.

How do you do your timetable/choose your units of study for 1st year?

As above. The link to the admin page should be on the left hand side of the home screen once you log into myUni. Also for timetables, while they won't be released for a while, you can get an idea of what your timetable may look like by looking up the scheduled lecture and tutorial times for the...

    Enrolment Planner help

Personally I would do WORK1003 as it does seem to be assumed knowledge for a few third year subjects you can choose for your Management major. Your other 3 units can be whatever you want, look at the handbooks and see if there are any first year subjects that interest you.

    Subject Selections 2014

It's not that bad. Funnily enough I'm less busy contact hours wise in the semester I overload in haha. Sounding good so far :). Looking forward to it. But I think there is a different coordinator this year. Heard of Dr Charlotte Taylor?

Human biology vs concepts in biology?

I personally haven't done either of those units (will be doing Concepts this semester though), but if you are doing a BSc/MND, I'd imagine the best choice for you would be Human Biology. Do you know what major you want to do yet?

For b.economics, can you do "any" electives? like from science faculty etc...

You can do psychology, but you won't be able to do MATH1005. One of the compulsory units you will have to do in a Bachelor of Economics is ECMT1010, and it is prohibited for anyone to do both ECMT1010 and MATH1005 due to the overlap of content. You might be able to get an exception to study...

    scholarships in Bsc

It kind of defeats the purpose of having a scholarship if everyone can get one. Really, it's too late to apply for scholarships now anyway, for now just read up on the scholarships page on the uni website and see if there are any that you might want to apply for next year.

    Prerequisites help?

Assumed knowledge means they expect you to know the content. You can still do the course without it, but you would probably struggle. If you really want to do General Maths, you can always do a 2U bridging course later on.

    Question about internal transfers

When transferring into law they will look at either your university marks on their own, or a combination of your university marks and ATAR, whichever one is better. So yes, if you do really well in your first year (at least a Distinction average as mentioned above), then you should be well...

    Lng1001

Have a read of this: http://issuu.com/srcpubs/docs/countercours2013 Naturally as an SRC publication it is quite biased but it is easy enough to discern the bullshit from the helpful information.

Studying a language for first time

Languages require a lot of work, and especially at introductory level, they will move really fast to keep you up to speed. If you can deal with that than great, but a lot of the time it can get a bit overwhelming. I definitely wouldn't recommend languages as an elective, unless you intend to...

    WAM boosters

You didn't even buy the textbook until the last week and you still did well :p. So really, it's not that difficult a unit. You will need 12 junior Philosophy credit points to do PHIL2642. But yeah I did the equivalent of this unit at another uni, so this would be good too later down the track...

    WAM boosters

I'd recommend Introductory Logic (PHIL1012). While probably not as easy to ace as something like WRIT subjects, it is pretty easy if you put in the work. Plus the assessment distribution is quite friendly and it is relevant to other areas like mathematics or computer science. I ended up getting...
