    2012-2013 Budget

Re: 2012-2013 Budget Predictions When there's blood in the water... There is absolutely no way Gillard and Swan could put together the budget that wouldn't see the government take a negative hit. If they cut spending aggressively they'll be told they're neglecting vital services, if they don't...

    French/Greek elections

Yeah I'm sure you've got some little op ed from the IPA or Stormfront or whatever that goes into it in great depth.

No, undertaxation is one of the underlying causes of the present financial situation.

How does increasing teacher numbers solve nothing? Do you think there is no relation between school class sizes and student performance? What is your qualm with raising taxes on the rich?

    French/Greek elections

Even though soloo is nuts I agree in this respect. Sarkozy bailed out those fat cats and wanker bankers despite this the upper echelons of these companies have been voting themselves massive bonuses whilst forcing austerity on their underlings. With their creative accounting these wankers got us...

    Glee

    Not poorly written, overburdened.

    Glee

Tina was never a particularly well fleshed out character, the only one of the original group that didn't work particularly well. Possibly because she lacks a particularly defining character (gay, disabled, benevolent popular kid, overweight etc.) I think hers was meant to be gothic but for...

    Glee

Again I think that is a product of the trap they unwittingly set themselves in the first season where they powered through the social issues (Kurt coming out to his father, Rachel's unrequited love for Finn etc) at breakneck speed and then in order to sustain the shows gathering pace and...

    Glee

The older woman surrogate pregnancy is an example of the "tick a box" approach to social issues I referred to, having set the pace in the first season they now need to continually increase run out of momentum. The "nasty" Sue was a one dimensional character, you might fondly remember the days...

    Glee

That is not what I said.

    Glee

For my money it hasn't actually slipped in quality but it was such a high paced teenage issue show that as it ages it begins to feel like you're just ticking off boxes in a "what issues confront high school students" sort of way. They also face the conundrum of having succesfuly humanized the...

    The right to bear arms

Should a private citizen, say Clive Palmer, be able to purchase a nuclear weapon?

    Another priest molestation scandal...

This has definitely happened on a large scale but obviously is not a criminal matter and therefore the churches will generally deal with the issue internally.

    Another priest molestation scandal...

I think part of the point was that its abominable hypocrisy that a single stone be left unturned in trying to bring justice to the victims off these crimes meanwhile the church has spent sums easily in the millions trying to maintain institutionalized homophobic prejudice in our legal system.

If you will be eligible to vote, who do you intend to vote for?

You're sounding like Abbeyroad there you realize?

If you will be eligible to vote, who do you intend to vote for?

There is plenty of linkage between anti-migrants and free marketeers though, essentially they're both just really really greedy people who got lucky in life and don't want to share stuff.

    What are you currently Reading?

Well that opinion piece really settles it.
  20. Lentern

If you will be eligible to vote, who do you intend to vote for?

He doesn't really want to enter parliament but does he? Like aside from Maxine Mckew when has the "celebrity versus minister" thing ever worked? It's just about a high profile public dialogue with Swan, if he really wanted to enter parliament he'd be seeking pre-selection somewhere safer.
