Yes. Unless someone else beat you in the external exam eg by scoring 97. then, this becomes your internal mark. Then you would get the average of external (95) and new internal (97) = overall mark of 96

If you are ranked at the top, your cohort will have limited impact on your atar. If you come first internally and external, you will get your HSC mark as your school mark regardless of how the rest of the year goes. Hope this helps! :)
