Yes they do. You do a B.Science/B.Business, because first year subjects are all the same across the science degrees you'll do the common first years with all people then in the second year you'll major in Biomedical Science with your electives. Only difference is you won't graduate with...

I'd rather not mainly because the new degree will eat up all of my time and there are clincal placements of 6 weeks each semester. So if I am studying at UTS even one subject a semester is going to own me, especially during clincal placements which is pretty much FT work without pay for six...

by deferring do you mean leave of absence? if you mean defer as in before i start... i have already done 2 years of my degree. now i want to transfer to another univeristy but there is a chance i will get excluded from a key component so i want uts to be my safety net so i can run back to it...

I contacted UTS and they said I can't take a leave of absence from UTS if I'm studying at another Australian university. Will they know if I do it anyway? lol

If the new course is in a different faculty then you need to go through UAC. No its not too late to apply through UAC, although it will cost you $101 + processing fee ($49). If its within your faculty then do ICT http://www.sau.uts.edu.au/enrolment/course/transfer/continuing.html
