No, I don't think it does double as a fire alarm. The Call Security button doesn't alert CMS, it only sends a message to Office, which no longer works.. The messages function broke on one of the POS upgrades apparently, if you send a message from Office it'll fuck something up (apparently). So...

The big red button is the duress alarm (e.g. hold up or similar distressing circumstances) and the white button is the chime button, this does nothing when pressed in our store. Our evac alamrs are on the sound/volume unit in the general office, that's where the only chime button actually works...

The chimes button was disabled for us on service when we had the refurb. The only button that works is the one actually on the audio/sound unit that controls PA/telephone/mic/music volumes (oh and evacuation alarms ;) )

It is not a nationwide legislative requirement that persons be over 18 to serve cigarettes, some states allow it. Also, it is not a store based policy in regards to mature aged supervisors, I have pushed and pushed and they won't budge, this goes for other stores in my area and head office also...

You'll have to call head office, that's what I did. The two reasons for this are: The supervisor must be 18 in order to go into Liquor to serve, count, etc The supervisor must be 18 as there is a 'mature age requirement' The 2nd one is absolute bullshit if you ask me. That second point...

Our store is still express alert, never even heard of a priority one in Woolworths, thought that was Coles only. Also, it's against company policy to supervise if you're under 18. If head office finds out you and your managers could be in serious trouble, so be careful..

When it comes to people like that, there is no point being all nice and sweet. Walk up to him and firmly say "Okay, I need you to do this, this and that, and nothing else, come find me when you finished, don't worry about what anybody else is doing, I'm the supervisor, just do that job for me...
