How to IPT into Adv Math from Commerce/Science

If you do Combined Commerce and you want to transfer into Comm/Adv. Maths, you would need to maintain 80 WAM, or else you'll be given a choice to drop to science or drop it entirely.

A few questions - state ranks, the newspaper for band 6s and allrounders

I have a quick question, could anyone tell me a site where it would contain the DA for subjects at a certain school for HSC 2016? Better Education does contain it but I don't think it'll be updated till later on, and I'm quite sure they get it from a Board of Studies site. Thanks

    Maths & Actuarial Studies/Finance/accounting

ICU is actually right. It's all crammed and no university student will recommend you to do Actuarial Studies with 2U lol There were recent posts here and leehuan and others contributed to that matter, stating that 3U is the bare minimum requirement to do it.

    Maths & Actuarial Studies/Finance/accounting

Law is a career that you would need to put in your effort to get into. Doing EC's, interns, volunteering, everything you can get to get any standard role even. If you're passionate, go for it. If not, I suggest to you that you don't. Finance/Law has a wide variety of careers open...

    Maths & Actuarial Studies/Finance/accounting

You will be struggling if you do 2U maths if you wish to enter into Acturial Studies. However, you'll be fine majoring in Finance and doing 2U. If you care about prestige so much, aim for Finance/Law at USYD or UNSW.

The use of statistics in legal essays.

You could PM me it and let me check. I don't do Legal so it wouldn't disadvantage you in any way.

The use of statistics in legal essays.

If your teacher never criticise your lack of statistics, then you'll be fine? I do Economics, another social science, and I had to do a case study. I inquired my teacher how many stats would I need, and my teacher said as much as u can remember. It's important to support your argument if you...

    4 days notification?!?!?!?!?

http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/hsc_assessment_policies/hsc_assessment_std_ref_fwk.html When will each task be scheduled? As a guide, at least two weeks' notice of the details of a task should be given, though longer may be appropriate in some instances (eg submission of a stage of a...

    Actuarial Studies and Finance

It does teach you, but not in Finance or Actuarial Studies, but instead, in mathematics. They teach you what an IB does etc., but not the skills that are required in the IBD. Do they really teach trading? Like TA?

Moving up in English and down in Maths?

I did 3U maths and Adv Eng. It's not that stressful, if you learn how to manage your time properly. Just drop maths or english if you don't feel comfortable in doing so.

Bachelor of economics or Bachelor of commrece (majoring in eco)

There's no differences if you're majoring in Eco, just some additional bonuses by doing a Commerce degree, which is pointless, just wasting time transferring and doing extra semesters.

Are real roots considered complex roots (James Ruse 2013 Task 1 solutions)

    Any real number is a complex number. For example, 6 = 6 + 0i. Technically, there is still an imaginary component to it. Hence, you can complete the square with complex numbers. For example: (z^2 + 2z + 2) = 0 z^2 + 2z +1 +1 = 0 (z+1)^2 - i^2 = 0 (Notice REAL 1 into IMAGINARY -I^2)...
