    Simple trig maths question

when you take the square root you have to allow for the plus and minus. for example. 3^2=9 (-3)^2=9 therefore sqrt9=+-3 same applies for algebra, trigonometry, etc then with ASTC the positive has two results, the negative has two results (if 0<@<2pi)

Survey: Is is a good idea to do 12 Units in Year 12?

yeh thats kinda like my school. when we requested to drop units to go down to 10 our deputy principal and maths teacher talked about it and decided whether it would be safe or not

Survey: Is is a good idea to do 12 Units in Year 12?

take the pole out of ass fuckwit. if you think its a stupid thread then dont reply. in answer to your question i personally do 10 units and it makes my life easier. i would recommend, however, keeping 11 or 12 units just to start with in case 4unit maths isnt your thing, etc, etc. with doing...

Case law relating to majority verdicts...

the case of R v. Bruce Burrell was the catalyst for converting to majority verdicts. basically Burrell was accused of kidnapping and murdering Sydney mother Kerry Whelan in 1997 but pleaded not guilty. the jury was hung at 11-1 in favour of guilty but one juror wouldnt budge, so the case was...

    HSC Board of Studies Answers

the "success" books are really good. they give fully worked solutions to every question in the last 10 past papers or so. i have the 4unit and 3unit books; they're great for study, and there's 2unit and general books too. ask the head maths teacher at your school. he/she would know about it:)

    List of Formula and Rules

you could always get an excel book. there's two to choose from, either the larger full version or the pocket guide of formulas. the latter describes briefly, and obviously the larger book gives more detail and examples. and they have them for all years and all degrees of difficulty

    choosing subjects for Year 11

thats not true at all, there are plenty of explanations. very very basically, all subjects have varied difficulties and should not be treated equally. for example, if someone gets 80% in 4unit maths and another person gets 80% in general maths, obviously the 4unit mark is better. if you do...

    Three Weeks Behind

our school's the same, our teacher always turns up at least 20 minutes late and spends another 5 making excuses why she's late.
  17. M

What's your fav subject so far?

4 unit maths is fun. then probably business --> legal --> 3 unit maths and english advanced:angry:

    Missing out?

thats right, when you get into uni be a bit more outgoing at first, so people can see your fun side straight away. get yourself a good, sensible crowd and you'll have a much better time. (of course im not actually at uni yet, but ive known a few people do that. it should work) best of luck...

    integration question

its very unlikely that theyll ask x^0 it does look very similar but if you look closely the degrees symbol will be rounder instead of an ellipse like zero ( o vs 0 ) :bomb:
