How many hours of co-corricular is everyone doing?

yea i think i should keep cocorricular. debating is a bit iffy because it takes up quite a bit of time but i'm having less than 10 units next year. i'm aiming for leadership, don't know if i'll get anything though. i'm definitely doing duke of ed despite protests from DA MUM. she's convinced...

Questions about final maths mark/ranking and getting 100

I was wondering, for state rankings, are those based on the combined school and HSC mark or just the HSC mark? And how difficult is it to get 100 in 3U maths HSC? About how many people will actually get it?

help with super easy integration questions!

Q1: A hemispherical bowl of radius a units is filled with water to a depth of a/2 units Find, by integration, the volume of the water. I keep getting the answer 7a^3pi/24 The answer is 5a^3pi/24 I must be struck by an indefinable stroke of dumbness of (hopefully) the answer might be wrong. I...

How many hours of co-corricular is everyone doing?

Right now, I do about 7-8 hours of co-corricular a week, I'm not doing, I might if I continue like this next year. Most Year 12's I've come across have no co-corricular, seems unhealthy but I guess you could have other outlets like just having general fitness?

What exactly is UMAT? Is it worth preparing for (via programs etc)

So my mum just had a rant at me about how I should be preparing for UMAT. Should I be? I've heard it's basically like IQ/general knowledge/GA and that for certain people, you should, and others, you don't really need to.

yea all really good points. i guess as a scholar it's a bit different because you've earned your way there and you're expected to keep your standards up and all that. hahaha HYPOTHETICAL CHILDREN. i probs wouldn't send my kids to a private school, as in pay for them, no way. i'd make them go...

life skillls + counselling support- public, private, selective?

the majority of selective students are middle/upper class students as well. in terms of public schools, i suppose you've defined life skills there as being able to understand and interact with people from different socio-economic backgrounds. how about public speaking skills...bullying?

life skillls + counselling support- public, private, selective?

I've always been interested in the public vs private debate and there are heated arguments for both sides. I went to a pretty good public school from K to 6 and I'm currently in a private school. Obviously I can't compare private schools (based on my school) to selective and public high...

    Bad English Teaching!!!!

it is true. most of it is the student, being willing to ask questions, putting in the hard work and the extra effort. some of it is the teacher being there as a constant guide (ideally) and being willing to sacrifice more time to help students, some teachers aren't, for a plethora of reasons...
