    but stay safe man. wear a belt (a normal one) and if you find yourself unable to bring the bar back up, roll it does to your belt, and sit up. from there you can just grab the bar and throw it off.

    dude, you don't even need a spotter. don't ever do anything you don't think you're capable of. and if you find yourself like you can't bring the bar back up you rest it on your chest, and roll it off. you just roll the bar to your waist, and you sit up.

    i don't know man, i'm gonna stick with a barbell. trust me omar, your form when working out with a barbell would be much better than your form using two dumbells.

    yeh, but if you work out with dumbells, and you don't bring them up and lower them in the exact same way for both arms, it can have the exact same effect as using a barbell.

    on second thoughts, you probably are right. however, using a barbell ensures a much smoother motion, whereas for a beginner, dumbells can be all over the shop.
