How much harder is PHYS1901 than PHYS1001? Should I only take PHYS1001, given that I've been given permission to do CHEM1903, and will be doing MATH1901/1902, GRMN1111, and (hopefully) overloading for the TSP showcase?

You do not necessarily need all band 6s. I've known people to have had 7units of band 6, and they got around 99.55. Another person had 9 units of band 6, and they got 99.3, and somebody who did get the Premier's Award that I knew got a 98.9.

It's fairly common to do Chemists that work with making soaps, then you have tests and principles like saponification and pH balancing. It also gives u a bit of a headstart if u do Industrial Chemistry as well, cos u do Saponification in a fair amount of depth

I did 3Units of history, none of them counted. No regrets with doing Modern, although I think I shoulda kept English Extension instead... Ah well, no point in regretting what u can't change

The year will go faster as you head into June. With assessments, trials and uni info coming out, July and August goes fairly quickly Then theres the final revision of September and constant study in October, you really lose track of time. Then there's 4 months where you'll get fairly bored...

The school you go to means nothing if u want a high UAI. I went to a lowly public school, and there were 4 of us getting over 98.5. U just need 2 put hard work in2 it and u'll b fine

A timing strategy is also important. While I didn't get a high E4, it is important to allocate your time properly so u can actually attempt the harder q8. Silly mistakes r a fact of life, u just have 2 try 2 make as few as possible!

Similar things happened @ our school this year in both Modern and Extension. I think it has 2 do with if ur rank order changes drastically, then the marks scale badly down. 4 extension @ our school, the lowest ranked person in the class got the highest exam mark, so every1 got scaled down...

Our school gives a medal, a certificate and we get a name on the honour roll.
