Why is staff discount still being applied to tobacco???

    The Woolworths Thread

When I first started, tobacco was not affected. New harsh laws came into affect on Jan 1 2011 which meant the smokes had to be covered up, this was when we stopped QFF points, but customers still got a fuel voucher over $30.

That's more of an annoyance for me because asking for EDR is second nature. So I'll probably ask people without even thinking about it, then I'll get the "BUT YOU CAN'T GET REWARDS ON TOBACCO ANYMORE" know it alls.

I'm contracted for self serve on Saturday, however my CSM put me on for supervision instead. It still counts

Hahahhaha. Oh head office. That would be an absolute nightmare for you guys if that was shut down, as you'd lose a staff member for the hour of trading (plus half an hour after close), and (another) register would need to be open, so you would effectively lose 2 staff members you have now by...

My guess is it's a comment about what rates to pay you for the actual public holiday and substituted public holiday. Why not ring your office clerk now and ask?

According to the new agreement, PPT and FT employees do get rates on the actual public holiday if they choose. DEFINITIONS 1.6.1 Weekly Employee Means a full-time or part-time employee.

Nope, not casual. You'd think they'd WANT to pay you for the shorter shift instead of the longer one.

Apparently I'm supervising on the Sat 26th. Will be interesting if I'm working on Monday 28th, I'll have to make sure they pay me public holiday rates for the Saturday and not the Monday!

Haha I love you. I'm very interested in 1PoS. I can't think off the top of my head what it could be "streamlining"

The other day an Asian couple came in and purchased 20 tins. It makes sense now.

Yep same here. Does anybody else have a problem with supervision pay and Sundays? My pay clerk reckons they have an issue with supervision rate (grade 4) on Sunday where it needs to be processed "manually" or the rate defaults back to grade 2. And because pay was pre-processed and she is now...

Yeah it should be today/this evening :) If you have Epayslips, it should be up in the next couple of hours.

@BSammy When was the pay being processed again? Could be today, tomorrow or Monday?

No. Christmas recruiting was done 1-2 months ago. Try again in March.

Spend wisely, you won't be getting another pay for 10/11 days :P My rosters came back at midnight thankfully.

Getting a very helpful "Roster Information Not Available For This Week" when viewing next weeks and next fortnights roster. Anybody else?

I am also Store team member, I thought it may have been because I now do most of my hours in Liquor instead of front end, but clearly not.
