    Truongs Maths Tutoring, any comments?

Re: Truong's tutoring, any comments? I too am a current student that go to his tutoring, I must say, I've been to quite a number of tuition centres and his is the best by far. He isn't as arrogant or authoritative as you make him out to be. Yes, he may be rich, but he surely doesn't show it...

    Exponential Derivatives

Ooh! My mistake then, I thought she meant find the tangent of y=e^x-1 at the origin. Sorry.
  6. xMrRand0m

    Exponential Derivatives

The original curve that you gave, y=e^x does not pass through the origin, the curve y=e^x-1 does.

    How detailed are your notes?

Module 1? Is that about globalisation?

How much study do u do in Holidays?

Re: so whos done homework these holidays? I've done MOST of my homework. Except for those subjects that require ALOT of writing; i.e. english. English homework is so tedious and boring, don't know how I'm ever going to finish it. >_>

    How detailed are your notes?

Wow! What school do you go to? You guys have done the first three topics already? Or is this just moving ahead? I have to start making my notes again, under the syllabus headings. Been on a break for a few days.

    How detailed are your notes?

I've been using these summer holidays for notes; that was up to about 2 days ago when I started to feel burnt out. From then on, I haven't been able to go for long marathon sessions (4-5 hours), so I'm on a little 'break' now for a few days perhaps. Hopefully I'll be able to work again after that.

    How detailed are your notes?

Yeah, diagrams work for science subjects, but for humanities; like legal studies, it's kind of hard to integrate diagrams into your notes.

    How detailed are your notes?

Ahh, so 4 pages sounds about right then. If that's so, where did hsc100 get her 12 pages from?!
  13. xMrRand0m

    How detailed are your notes?

12 pages with small handwriting for legal?! Is that only for one topic? Because I've only got 4 pages, and that's for the first topic, 'law and justice'.

    How detailed are your notes?

I tend to handwrite mine, like Timothy Siu does. This is because I don't get easily distracted; as I would if I typed it up.

    Truongs Maths Tutoring, any comments?

Re: Fairfield Troung's recommendation - English I go to Ms. Diab's as well, although I'm in the advanced class. She does mark our homework though. She asks to collect it, and for those that do hand it in, she takes it home and brings it back the week after with red writing all over it. I wrote...

How much study do u do in Holidays?

Re: who studied in te holidAYS Uhh, I think you mean procrastinating? Nearly everyone does. It depends on how much you procrastinate. As for me, I can't get through 4 hours of study without at least a 15 minute break.

    Still curious..

future career paths can't really be determined through looking at someone's Preliminary subjects. You could always change / drop your subjects next year, and then again, like hermand said, there are always bridging courses offered in uni if you decide to pick a career that has no relevance to...

Wow! Such free lives! >_> I envy you guys. Can't wait till this hell is over.

    Do be a tutor?

You could always start with some younger family members, but seeing as you've got pretty good mathematical skills, you might want to try some distant family members (by that, i mean 2nd cousins, etc. but for free though). Then if you're successful enough, they'll probably spread it around...

How much study do u do in Holidays?

Aren't there heaps of motivational ideas out there on BoS? I mainly use the UAI as a motivational tool and also through asking uni students that have already done their HSC and achieved a great UAI. Getting advice and lectures about the HSC mainly motivates me =)
