2007 State Election - Labor or the Coalition/Iemma or Debnam?

There IS an alternative to Labor and Liberal - Family First. Vote 1 Family First in the Upper House, and ensure that we have a sensible voice in our Parliament.

SRC Reps and Office Bearers for 2007

Re: SRC Reps and OB's for 2007 Hey, I didn't have the numbers. I ran for Womyn's Officer, Ethnic Affairs Officer, Intercampus Officer AND Intercampus Committee. The only one I really wanted was Intercampus, but even with the Liberal and Unity votes I was unable to secure enough votes. I am...

    Compositions

*Leaf*: It sounds like you're in the right mindset for the Con. Nice melodic shapes (if rather simple), and unique choices of timbre reflect well. Knowing how to use computers in the compositional process is also a plus. I can't say without looking at your audition portfolio, but based on the...

    ARGH!!!!!! sydney university....

My father used to point to USYD when we drove into the city, and tell me that he expected me to go there, because it's the best. My teachers always told me that the Sydney Conservatorium was the best, and that they expected me to go there. So, despite my pathetic UAI and negligible musical...

USyd Students - the VSU Era - What will you do?

As a student, and SRC Councillor, I am concerned that student funds have, in the past, been used to support groups like the PLO and Falun Gong. I am especially opposed to this, because this money has been provided by students without their consent. If we know about it, but don't oppose it, then...

USyd Students - the VSU Era - What will you do?

If my SRC fees are supporting evil cults, then I don't want to support the SRC. Here's a reminder about what Falun Gong has done: Before: After:

USyd Students - the VSU Era - What will you do?

Besides political activist hippies (most of which, by the way, come from much better financial backgrounds than most students), NO student benefits from the SRC/Union/Sport to the extent that they get better value for money than if they had the discretion to spend it in whichever manner they...

USyd Students - the VSU Era - What will you do?

What, you think I'm joking? They killed my relatives. So fuck you.

USyd Students - the VSU Era - What will you do?

That's because Falun Gong is the terrorist organisation who was responsible for the deaths of some of my family.

USyd Students - the VSU Era - What will you do?

As an Australian born citizen, this is MY land.

USyd Students - the VSU Era - What will you do?

There is a difference between taxes and mandatory union fees however - taxes are spent to benefit the entire community (theoretically). While mandatory union fees are intended to fulfill the same purpose within the university community, in practice it does not (moreso than taxes), to the extent...

    what's a lab?

Re: whats lab? A "lab" is generally a subject where equipment not normally used in tutorials is required for use either by the teacher, or by the students. This might be anything from a computer, to a piano, and not just a science lab.
