Apparently there's a mandatory orientation meeting for all social work students on the thursday of o-week. Can anyone weigh in on this? Are orientation meetings in o-week really mandatory? How will they know if I haven't gone? I'm moving house that day so it's kind of impossible for me to make it.

I'm about to start my second year of social work, and in first semester 2 mandatory subjects are indigenous studies (kocr2600) and social policy (scpl2601), but there's a clash with the lectures. there's a social policy lecture tuesday from 9-11 and an indigenous lecture at 10. what the hell...
