    Question about bridging courses

The reason why Maths and Chem are assumed is because these are very important to the course itself. What is it that draws you to the course? You will be studying maths and chemistry in at least your first year...

    Mathematical Curiosities.

Dem reals. I wanna take Dave Easdowns algebra and logic (replacing his logic and foundations) next year... He claims to construct the reals from the empty set. Seems good to me. I'll see if I can fit it in... Doubt it though.

I dunno the use of MCT was really weird at first since we only saw the definition of exponentiation and logarithms at high school

    MATH2962 vs MATH3068

OK. Looking forward to math2962. BTW obvious are you still needing your math2961 and 2962 readers ( I'll buy them if you don't need them anymore)? Ill probably want to so some reading over the summer.

    Mathematical Curiosities.

Pretty sure its a troll? Suppose j=a+ib for b nonzero and real, since j is not real. J^2= a^2-b^2+2abi =1. Collecting real and imaginary parts, a^2-b^2=1 and ab=0. Since b non zero, a must be 0. Thus -b^2 =1 so b^2=-1 which is not possible since b was assumed to be real. Thus no real b can...
