    Insane work load

KGB, if your finding 60? pages a week hard to read for BLE, you really have to rethink your course choice. BLE is a law subject for business students, not even a law subject itself- you will be expected to read a substantial amount more when you are in your second year onwards. ifsonotso, is...

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Get Naked and Secks!!' Thread Building 5 to Building 10 is the worst. It is like from one side to the other. I have a subject that has a lecture in building 5 and a comp lab in building 10 =(

    What you hate about UTS

People who use the email function on UTSonline. No, I don't want to buy your first year subject textbook, or swap tutorials with you.

advice on a good scientific calculator for finance major & maths subject

Don't you have a scientific calculator from high school? I don't do a finance major, but friends I know who do it, have all bought themselves a financial calculator, and have thought it was well worth the money, and definately helps in studies.

Re: The UTS 'Get Naked and Secks!!' Thread Yep. Plus alot more parking spaces. Won't be a great idea driving to uni anymore.

    No tutorials for week 1

depends on the subject. not true for all cases in business or law.
  9. Huratio

about lecture notes and tutorial reading materials

You might be lucky with some subjects where lecture notes are all printed out in a booklet and for sale in the UTS Union shops.
  10. Huratio

    No tutorials for week 1

This is correct. The starting date on all of your subjects appear on your timetable.

not so many business first years during today's orientation

Wow, it is that high. Some mature-age students are really good in group work. I would certainly pick a mature-age student over an international student for a group assignment.

Doing the subjects Company Law and Taxation Law together too crazy?

Neither of the two law subjects are that hard. You shouldn't find it hard at all to do both with FBF. So your only doing an accounting major?

    UTS student diary question

like jemsta said, they become useless after the second/third week, because you remember where your class was, and never use your timetable again.

    web enrolment dont ever close?!?

Something like that. But yeah, they do get turned to read only status.
  16. Huratio

    web enrolment dont ever close?!?

After like the 3rd week (i think) of the semester, all subjects are set to read only.. so you won't be able to change it.

    General UTS chit-chat

Re: The UTS 'Get Naked and Secks!!' Thread All of the registration online was done in person last year. The system is much more streamlined this year.
  18. Huratio

Should i enrol how they 'recommend'?

The recommended pattern guarantees that you don't have any problems with pre-requisites. You won't have to worry about having a tutorial before a lecture, because the tutorial stuff generally lags behind one week anyways.

When do we get our student diaries???

Very true haha. The advertisements are always the same every year too..
