    HSC 2015 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon Sadly, I can't do these types of proofs yet. But after reading your solution, I think I get the general concept of contradiction Btw Sy, could you show us your solution. :D

    HSC 2015 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon I question whether this guy is really a 2014er. ^

    Australian Maths Competition

Re: Australian Maths Competition 2013 You must have a lot of time to solve 4 variable simultaneous equations :D

    HSC 2015 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon Right... From observation, something like x^3+3x+1=0  Holy crap, that question was from 5 days ago, how come noone noticed :chainsaw2:

SELL| PREMIUM WORKED SOLUTIONS for Cambridge and Fitzpatrick both 3U and 4U

Can vouch for LandCo, have bought his Cambridge materials :D

    HSC 2015 MX2 Marathon (archive)

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon Lol just realised there's an unanswered question. Btw Sy, is it "THE ROOT" or should it be "A ROOT" Because THE root would not have rational coefficients (because it would be linear)

    iStudent's raw marks!

(Here I was thinking I needed 99% raw to state rank. GG to my no life grind) Grats on your marks, that potential eco rank doe :D

    Conics Equations

    Rito, thanks

    Fermentation question

Ohh I think I missed that part of your explanation, how it denatured the catalyst. I only read this: "the ethanol itself will start to denature" Then yes, if the concentration of ethanol exceeds 15%, the enzymes will die :D

    Show that the curve...

If the derivative is >0 then the function is increasing (derivative = gradient)

    Fermentation question

Perhaps you are referring to the environmental conditions enzymes can withstand? (<15% conc.) Whilst some of your points are valid, it's important to stick within the scope of the syllabus! (Since denatured ethanol is not specifically taught)

    Fermentation question

-> Le Chatelier's Principle: if a system at equilibrium is disturbed, then the system will adjust itself to minimise the disturbance. -> Equation: Glucose (aq)-> 2Ethanol (l) + 2CO2 (g) -> Increase in concentration on left side would mean the system will try to minimise this disturbance by...

    Conics Equations

Can we directly use the parametric equations for the chords/tangents etc. in exams or do we have to show it from scratch.

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive Pretty much :D (For high high school level anyway)

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive it may be outside the physics syllabus, but a little trig or calculus doesn't hurt (or a good imagination) And yes, the spaceships are moving 'head on' (though they obv don't collide and explode...)

    UAC deadline!!

If we consider the time this information is relayed to mreditor16 and the time he relays to his friend + the time his friend enters it into the computer as well as the fixes/changes they will make. Considering the speed of light c and the total internet traffic as well as the processing in...

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive One is moving away, one is approaching o-o (2D only, no angles etc.) sadly not 3D Integrand, would make the problem slightly more interesting
