    Battle of the study guides

"You" suggests that you've asked Dumbledore but I'll answer too anyway. Excel 4unit author (S.K.Patel) had written a smaller but thicker blue book, which, I think, just says Maths Extension 2 (not sure). That one is pretty thorough. Cambridge is good too. I used combination of both.

    Battle of the study guides

Ah yea, for MX2, I think Leading Edge is alright. (If you are talking about study guides)

    whats the most evil subject?

That makes more sense, I guess. But if really 4-5 marks are just given, ppl who get below 5 either couldn't be bothered to write or are handicapped. Edit: in response to above post: That's for short story though. Essays could be different. Not sure though.

    whats the most evil subject?

Yea, I agree. Markers are just more impressed if the candidate's use of language is sophisticated. The deepest analysis would look really crap if worded terribly.

    whats the most evil subject?

Wow.. That's generous. 4 to 5 marks already earned even before analysing anything

Question about the soft iron core in transformers

I am not sure if I am correct but I think the textbooks just separate primary and secondary coils because it's better to do so for demonstration purposes. However, I think it's better for primary and secondary coils to be placed closer together so that change in flux generated by the primary...

    2009 Trial HSC Exams Discussion

lol I feel sorry for you. You basically have to do equivalent of 3 HSCs in total then. (2 trials+HSC) I guess it's better for when you didn't do well in one trial though.

Rate the difficulty of ext 2 topics from hardest to easiest

Hmm I thought mechanics is deemed hard only because it is taught the last. But harder 3u, i have to agree, is the hardest.

    Hardest ext maths topic...

Permutation & Combination prob That's the only Q I couldn't do in my MX2 trial. (Otherwise, my MX2 trial is quite easy.)

    Battle of the study guides

lol then macquarie phys is an epic failure coz excel phys is more attractive than macquarie phys in terms of content coz excel is more comprehensive.

    whats the most evil subject?

Conics is not actually that bad. I despise harder 3 unit.

    Procrastination?

I always procrastinate by going onto this website and reading threads.

    whats the most evil subject?

lol, you don't have to fix every single English mistake in a forum like this. You need some aptitude to write good essays and compose well-integrated creative writing that flows. Some people will never be able to do that. (not just ESLs) You need original ideas in your writing, which means...

    whats the most evil subject?

I personally think English is the most evil, not because it is more difficult than others, but because people who do not have natural aptitude in the subject are still coerced to do it. (Here, I'm talking about English standard and advanced, not ESL - since ESL is not a hard course.) Maths is...

    Battle of the study guides

Excel is better in physics and with improved version, chem. I don't know about other subjects.

    Accelerating with tutors?

Study ahead of your school yourself No need to spend money Accelerating does not always produce good outcomes anyway
