Maths Ext 2 Should I try it out?

Don't be frightened. It's not as hard as everyone makes it out to be (especially won't be for someone who can get by in year 11 with minimal study). Take it as you only get one chance to do so (excluding TAFE or repeating). What i find difficult is the amount of rote learning involved in...

    Re: MX2 Integration Marathon I_n = \int ^{\pi /2}_0 sin^nxdx = -\int ^{\pi /2}_0 sin^{n - 1}x d(cosx) = -[sin^{n - 1}xcosx]^{\pi /2}_0 + \int ^{\pi /2}_0 (n - 1)sin^{n - 2}cos^2xdx = (n - 1) \int^{\pi /2}_0 sin^{n - 2}(1 - sin^2x}dx = (n - 1) \int ^{\pi /2}_0 sin^{n-2}xdx - (n - 1)\int^{\pi...

ii. The x-intercepts become minimum points, the peak of that minimum turning point is now an even higher peak of a maximum turning point and the cubic looking like part at the at the origin now looks like a parabola. Also the parts of the curve below y = 1 become smaller whereas the parts...

    Trial Results and Papers

Sure, maybe PM me a few pages of it including the front cover. It's generally easy to spot independent and CSSA papers have their name all over it (i don't think schools can modify them).

    Re: MX2 Integration Marathon \int e^{cos2x} \times \frac{1}{2}sin2x dx = \frac{-1}{4} \int e^{cos2x} d(cos2x) = -\frac{1}{4}e^{cos2x} + c

How to get a 99.95 + State Rankings

Adding to this, pace yourself. HSC is not a race, but a marathon (read this somewhere before). You have plenty of time and there's no need to rush. What you should aim for is consistent study and maintaining your motivation. Studying so intensely will only burn you out and ruin this routine.

    Preliminary 2004 CSSA Physics

iirc, total internal reflection is when light is refracted (bends due to change in velocity of light) such that the ray of light is at 90 degrees to the normal. When light is slowed down, it bends away from the normal so the answer is A. With 5, R1 and R2 are in series, so they have the same...

    Trial Results and Papers

Although it gives no upper bound, it can give a general idea as to what ATAR the dux of previous years may have achieved. Then again, it ultimately depends on the student.

    Trial Results and Papers

Wouldn't it have been 100% legitimate? Every student has the past HSC papers at their disposal, whether it be online or past paper books, and it's up to the student whether or not to look at those questions. I suppose it was better for me in the end, was a good learning experience Although...

In 3U, second part of the combinatorics question in question 11. Question was not phrased properly as it required you to use the previous part when clearly it did not say so!! Pretty much everyone lost a mark for that. The second part of the geometry question where you had to prove some...
