Is a midsummer night's dream (by Shakespeare, ie the play) actually an imaginative journey? I'm not sure coz the fairies and all actually exist. Would it be suitable to study with 2 Coleridge poems, seeing as it is a Shakespeare play? Any comments/ideas would be great.

hey I'm going 2 that thing too. I think I'm doing that economics party game thing, and some physics workshop. Can't remember. Pretty much my whole grade is going too.

my advice would be to catch up on any unfinished work, and get a bit ahead of class.

gosh everyone is just at each other. the amount of time you spend studying isn't the best reflection of how much they're doing. some people can get thru things real quickly, and during holidays 4 hrs a day is quite sufficient. others need to take breaks and need more time to get thru...

i've just bin slaving away writing the same essay (relatively the same thing) so yeah i've got a pretty fair idea of wat 2 write. you've firstly gotta start by outline the coutry's involvement in globalisation. mention trade ie imports exports free trade agreements, investment ie FDI DIA...

by the sounds of it you already know what your essay is gonna be about. the approach you should take is a before/after one.... look at Switzerland before it globalised, then talk about how it globalised (FDI, trade, labour, etc), then compare the figures eg GDP of Switzerland before and after...

ok, you've really gotta look at the question as a whole to answer it. clearly, they want you to show how south korea has globalised and what effects this has had on their country, both the positive and the negative. the actions of the government that result in the country's globalisation...

it really does depend upon the story you are using. look at the tense, style (conversational, intimate, etc), figurative language (similes, metaphors, personofication, hyperbole), symbolism, diologue....the list really does go on, it all depends on what text you're using. try a google search of...

I recently entered my Yr 11 results into SAM and i got a UAI of 94.95. I didnt really try for my Yr 11 assessments and I'm getting the feeling that the calculator isn't very accurate. Does anyone know how accurate SAM really is, and by how many UAI points it's usually out by? :wave:

i think you'll probably achieve your goal of 95 +, so long as you maintain your standard of work throughout the year. your results are awesome, really... no need 2 stress too much...

mmm, i dont realli think it sucks. in fact, i reckon we're pretty lucky. we've got all these resources in the library and all the past HSC journies papers to practise with. i realli dont think originality is a huge problem, all you have to do is meet marking criteria and you can ace it. yr 12...
