What matters? Your fancy car? Your trophy wife? Your ATAR?
Or are you just happy that your daily activity doesn't really call for you to do anything that is difficult?
Yeah thanks. I was pretty annoyed about the benching but that's life. I think I might be good for ~190 on the squat... but I guess I'd better hit 185 to depth first before I talk shit :D
I pulled a 230 deadlift today, which is good for the Sub-Junior National record in the 100-110kg weight...
No, I definitely read it properly.
By implying that light-to-medium intensity activity (such as sitting at the computer, which you provided as an example) is the best for burning fat (which is somewhat true - dietary fat is the primary macronutrient used as an energy source in resting state)...
IMO, anyone who doesn't have like, a 1.25x bench, 1.5x squat and 1.75x deadlift (approximately) should do Starting Strength... it's perfectly planned out to make the most of noob gains and you're really missing out if you don't.
Just wondering - for those of you who do strength training...
Bench press - bar must touch the chest
Squat - crease of the hips must be below knee
Deadlift - Must be from the floor to full lockout
Personally, at a BW a hair over 90kg:
Squat 155kg
Bench 112.5kg
Deadlift 180kg
