    Banking internships 2009/10

Interns getting Christmas off? Most certainly not!!! Of course they wouldn't allow the lowest ranked employee's Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off! That only happens in Government.

    Australian Politics

Well, when you inserted the images, you didn't put them on a new line from the end of your last sentence, so it wasn't formatted properly thus making it a tad irritating to read. But other than that small error, it was quite an interesting read!

2009 official "funny quirks of my day" thread

Here's how the whole swipecard access stuff works: Basically, all student cards need to be put through the encoder in the AIC so the magnetic strip can be recognised when you swipe your card to enter a room/building. When you swipe your card through, it goes through a list of students that are...

Whats the most underrated/overrated aspect about UNCLE?

Having been here for 4 years now, I can see for myself that the social side of the university hasn't exactly been shining brightly or flourished in much way at all. However, there are societies that have been established by students in Commerce/Business over the last year that look like with...

    Accounting Job Prospects

I'd love to put myself through the "churn n' burn" of the IB world all within a few years. At least you've got job security though, right? EDIT: Wall Street 2 is in the making. Michael Douglas returning as Gordon Gekko, and his protege played by Shia LaBeouf. Hopefully it follows...

    Accounting Cadetships 2009

I think it's pretty unrealistic to be expecting anything above ~30k for a cadetship. After all, cadets come in with no experience and at the lowest level in the profession with the intention to learn whilst working.

    The Official NRL Thread

Well even though the club were refusing to admit anything, I knew Smith wouldn't last the season. Great job he did with signing elsewhere mid-season. Just another reason why it should be banned.

Sydney priest arrested over internet grooming

That's based on what you know. Are you honestly trying to imply that there have been no sexual/indecent assaults that have directly followed from pedophiles "grooming" young children on the internet? Really? C'mon man.

    Which Uni should i choose?

No, I don't know anything about UWS. It's not one of Sydney's highest rated universities and is out in the Western suburbs of Sydney, but I don't know anything about the actual courses offered so I can't comment.

    Which Uni should i choose?

That's good to hear that you're in Sydney. I would suggest emailing the postgrad team at the Sydney Campus on that email and telling them that you are a prospective student and you would like to visit the campus before you make a decision on where to study. I'm sure they would allow this, and...

NRL: Greg Inglis Charged with Assault

New take on Inglis assault case New take on Inglis assault case - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) This changes things. I heard rumours earlier in the week that Inglis would be furiously defending the charge and thought that he'd either have to have balls to risk claiming such...

    Which Uni should i choose?

I can't give you a comparison of the actual course structure between the two, however Newcastle has only recently began to establish a presence in Sydney and so the actual campus in the city isn't huge. However, from all that I've heard (working with student admin) the courses will be run...

Hawt. When did this happen? Where did the rollerblading occur? Did you take a peak at his package? If so, were you satisfied?

    Accounting Job Prospects

You mustn't be referring to the likes of PwC, KPMG, Deloitte and EY with that kind of salary expectation, unless it's anything other than Partner level.

    Which Uni should i choose?

Is this undergrad or postgrad? Newcastle only offer the B.Commerce at undergrad level and have combined the Finance degree into a major within the Commerce degree. From my experience, Newcastle Uni offer a decent B.Com degree. The finance subjects in their later year (3000 level) require you to...
