We get book prizes whenever we come first in any subject. We have competitions at the end of presentation night to see who got the highest pile :D Anyway, back on topic: Doctor Jolly, could you live with yourself if you passed up the chance to wield all that POWER??

I think I've realised why I find physics so boring. It's because it's so closely related to real life. Not learning anything new, just equations to describe stuff we already new. Oh well, at least that means that in later years physics won't be so boring, because we will be doing more...

Haha, our school does that too. Well, our corresponding boys school anyway when we have charity matches against them :D Especially seeing them have to walk around our school after the games...it's very funny for us, although possibly very humiliating for them :rolleyes:

I am adding to what everyone else is saying about prefect duties, at my school they hardly do anything in school time so they don't miss out on school classes, but they have to do quite a bit after school/at lunchtimes so maybe that's another thing to consider - how much extra time it takes up...

Also you get cool stuff like badges, blazer embroidery and/or little books to write down naughty kids' names. That last is the reason I want to become a prefect :D

I so don't understand the first part of the question...but I'll post anyway in case I manage to help someone out there... If the coefficient of a (ax^2 + bx + c) is positive, it's a smiley parabola, if it's negative, it's a frowny parabola :D I think. It's been a while since I did any...
