    Essay swapping

I think it is productive. I've had this argument before, because is a student who is falling cannot see how higher achieving students are performing, then how do you expect them to improve. But its not up to students to help students, although this is a great thing to do. What you teacher should...

    Need Advice!!

If you need maths for further education then you should prob keep it. If you don't then consider dropping it. There is nothing special about maths, many people don't do it. If you are doing worse in maths, and you think that will continue, then drop it. That's my advice.

    Question - Paying School Fees/Uniform

Re: Question? If you go to a public school you don't have to pay any fees. Even though they can ask for them. See the Education Act 1990 if you don't believe me. Although if you really can't afford it i think you should talk to your principal about the matter rather than just leave them...

There is still time to improve. I think that you should read some of the suggestions in this thread to try to get motivated and some study ideas. Not all work for all, see what works for you.

    Year 11 Preliminary Practical?

Simply the final conclusion. What was the final result. One sentence can sometimes be enough. Sometimes you may need to write more. For high school you don't need to say too much apart from the final result. Usually related to your aim/hypothesis.

    Chemistry question

CO2(g) <-> CO2(aq) + heat Now we know Le Chatellier's principle, So if heat is increased (such as when it is in the sun), the equilibrium moves left (of the first equation) to reduce the heat, so there is more CO2 in gas form. Hence it will go flat. If it is...

can you give a good estimation if my UAI? i am DESPERATED!

yes. although you have to remember that scaling is for the uai only and uai is a rank. So if all subjects scale down then it really doesn't matter, because in the end you are ranked. What matters is the difference in scaling between courses.

good on you. i am always happy to see students going beyond the syllabus and expanding their understanding. You would need to consult someone with uni maths to answer this.

    MX2 Past Papers & Answers

I have just noticed that HSC+CSSA Trial Past Papers + Answers Sorted by topic, for 2u, 3u and 4u maths have been uploaded to the Resources section. HSC Exam Marking Process

Just a note, Maths is the only subjec that I know of that the examiners write on your paper. They write your mark next to each question part and then sum up for each question on the front of the first booklet. In maths, they sometimes use abbreviations such as, J = Justify (i think) TE =...

    Help! Please

To help try and put it in perspective a HSC mark of 88 in Biology will result in the same count towards your UAI as a HSC mark of 90 in Ancient History. However this was only the case for 2007 and it changes from year to year. Also the scale is not linear so its not like ancient will always be 2...

    UAI predictions?

Because different school mark to different standards, with just the marks from your assessments it is difficult to know what UAI you are likely to get. However if you ask your teachers what they think you may get for your HSC mark, and then put that into SAM you can get a better idea.

What happens as an object approaches c?

Having myself done HSC Physics, but not yet uni physics, I am unable to comprehend what you are saying. In other words, I don't think you need to know this for HSC physics. I myself have never encountered it at all.

    Resources - 2006 and older??

Re: someone like help me? Many of the 2007 resources have been entered as 2006. I understand that the admin are working to fix this. The only way to view the most recent ones is here. Although just because a resource is old does not mean that it is no good.
