    Graduating class of 2011

Graduation was incredible! I will miss everyone so much. Actually, I already do! Argghh! I cried so much, and our speeches went so well. Year 12 has been such an amazing year. I didn't want it to end at all! Here's 2 videos I made that were at our graduation assembly.

Is this too long of an explanantion...

I have often written this in exams throughout year 11 and 12... "Unemployment is defined as the portion of the labour force who want to work, but are unable to find a job. The labour force is the section of the population who are 15 years of age and over, and are either working or actively...

Techniques + Sample essay for The Joy Luck Club

I'm struggling to find good techniques for the Joy Luck Club. The ones I have got me through the trials and into first place, but I don't have anyone to really compare with to see what they're writing. I have many good quotes, but I can't see the techniques in them... Does anyone have any...

Internally, if Person A beats Person B by a mark, but externally...

Alright, that answers my question! Thank you :)

Internally, if Person A beats Person B by a mark, but externally...

How about if we assumed that no one got a mark between 90 to 60 externally, as in they can only be first or second.

Internally, if Person A beats Person B by a mark, but externally...

Oh ok. So the miniscule gap between them internally has no effect?

Internally, if Person A beats Person B by a mark, but externally...

Ok, I guess what I mean to ask is does the gap between the internal marks still affect the overall internal mark when there is such a large gap in the externals. Also assuming that Person A is first internally and Person B is second.

Internally, if Person A beats Person B by a mark, but externally...

Internally, if Person A beats Person B by a mark, but externally: 1. Person A gets a mark of 90, but Person B gets a mark of 60. 2. Person A gets a mark of 60, but Person B gets a mark of 90. How are the internal marks affected in the end. I'm just curious. EDIT: Ok, I guess what I mean to...

Do essays need to sound sophisticated/contain big words to get good marks?

Use sophisticated language to be concise. This will allow you to say more with less.

    Highlighting & Remembering Notes

Maybe use it to highlight key words to jog your memory. I do this for English and it helps me.

My teachers refuse to mark my essays because I never turn up to school!

Then word it differently. Tell them you find it easier to concentrate at home, rather than one where everyone is distracting/annoying. Maybe you can be moved to a separate classroom at least.

Does school knows what you have achieved? ie. your final ATAR?

From what I've heard, no, but my IT teacher said he will. Last year one of his students told me in the morning to pass on his results to him but he already knew... EDIT: They don't get your ATAR though.

Internal marks for maths (Am i screwed???)

No one was obliged to get tutoring from you. End of story.

Teachers - can they ace the HSC?

I don't expect any teacher to ace the HSC. I expect them to understand the content and be able to portray it in various ways to assist students, but not to have the whole course memorised like a student.

Raw mark in 2u math for 95+ HSC mark?

Wow, I never would have expected the HSC mark to be that much higher. I got 100 and something in my trials too and know that all the marks I lost except for only one part of a question were due to silly mistakes. I haven't really thought about how my marks would change from all that scaling and...

    A troublesome question.

Alright, found some more questions like this and figured it out. No help required now!

    WTF circle geometry

If you don't know them already, learn all the features of a circle. That way, you won't be memorising the exact wording. Rather, you'll be using your understanding to construct the explanation.

    Interpreting your results from SAM

I know these predictions are inaccurate but, Considering the change from UAI to ATAR, should the prediction tend to be higher than actual value? I put my trial results in, which are pretty poor, and it predicted 99.7 which I highly doubt. These are my results (or close to) Chemistry 75% (1st)...
