Yes it is possible to transfer during mid year. They recommend a distinction average to transfer.

I don't think it's any easier, the course content should be similar between unis but the students' competitiveness might be different. For example in Melb Uni, the ATAR to get in arts would be very high but in UNE the ATAR is be much lower. UNE will have more art students with lower ATARs...

Begging for a place in person does work in places like RMIT and even better chances if you are an international student. My friend got an irregular offer through such means.

ANU and UNSW do online enrolments and let you choose your timetables as well. Unlike USyd which makes a 'personalised' timetable.

I had a choice, either Sancta's or IH. I chose IH because it's really close to the law builidng and walking distance to the commerce faculty. The other colleges and Sydney Village are so far away. Good luck to everyone.

Has anyone tried learning German at the Centre of Continuing Education? I will be living on-campus so this is would be a good location for me. Or can anyone recommend any relatively cheap (<$300 per sem) and close-by german schools? Thanks :)

USyd is so freaking anal about in-person enrolment. Why can't it be like ANU or UNSW. Anyway, I called up the law office and told them I could not enrol in person and had no reliable proxy, they told me to come on a later date in person on 5th Feb. Thank god my sister came to the rescue! Oh...

Wow that's really slack , my condolences. How about going to the Art Faculty and seeing someone there? One of my friends actually got an irregular offer from RMIT by visiting its city campus. Download the irregular offer form and make a trip there. Or at least try. Good luck hun :)
